I was taking Pix of the progression up thru 99% and was doing okay. When Totality hit, it just burst upon us. I tried to shoot a pic with my DSLR and my Tripod, but thelight had changed, it was too dark. I was fumbling and getting frustrated, etc etc. My daughter said. . "Dad. . .just enjoy it. you have 2 minutes"

She was right of course. It was stunning. Tears were shed. Yeah.. . we're already planning for 2024 in Texas.

Fellow citizens. . .Is there an update that will work with SU 17 for the old PageExIm.rb that I got from Smustard back in the day? this is a Rick Wilson plugin that allowed one to import scenes (pages!--that's how old this one is!) into another model.
I tried just putting the RBZ zip magic to the old rb. It installed okay but i can't import views into the new model. any thoughts? Is there a similar Plugin that will do this for the latest V of SU?

Fun little study. I have actually had all of these plugins in my arsenal for years, but sometimes you just forget to use em. Thanks for the tut.

However everybody along the path is taking the same chance. Actually Oregon could have it hte worst because it's in the morning there near the coast. Morning fog and all of that. But. . i think We're in for a great show!

First time a TOTAL SOLAR eclipse has traversed the entire Cont'l US Since 1918. Supposed to be the most photographed Astral event in history.

I am planning on being near Idaho Falls ID, (Rexburg) which is a front row seat in the Umbra. IF you can make it. . .it's a once in a lifetime event! Get your ISO safety glasses! sun glasses won't cut it. ya don't wanna go blind or anything like that.

I've been saying this since version 5. It would be nice to have control of visibility nested components and groups so I can alter a component and see the just next nest level up rather than all or nothing.

Is the alert for a later version of 17 and if so is it going to wipe out Again . .all my plugins and such?

I used to work with ol' crow quill pen and India Ink. I always blotched my drawings! So I went to Rapidograph (there's a blast from the past!) of course they were always cloggy and cantankerous. then My water color washes were never as good as his. I can't believe he didn't tape his ground down to a board!

dont' even get me started on airbrushes!
