You can do a little bit better than screenshot grab by exporting 2D graphic with anti-aliasing on.
Ogan
Yes ogan, that is just how people in the office call the exported image, "sketchup screenshots". sorry bout that.
Thanks.

try turning off Light cache (in secondary engine - select "none") Sometimes with complex materials, it takes a very long time (or hangs) when trying to process the LC pass.
i wonder why i didnt think of this before
I'm in the middle of something else right now, i'll try as soon i got the chance. but then if it is the light cache , does it mean there's no hope for using it?
Many thanks Andy.
and also, is there anyway to check current vray version on sketchup? just throwing wild ideas that maybe people in the office dont really know bout the version, because they sound not really sure bout it.
Thanks everyone..

I would first remove the trees and try to take a render that way. If OK I would add the trees slowly.
This may be something similar to an issue that I posted earlier http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=322&t=43241.
I've tried that before, still the same thing happen, it was just dots..
we finally gave up on rendering, just go with sketchup screenshots instead.
But i still want to put my head around this thing, just so annoying..

Are you using SU 8 Pro and what file size is your model. I have never had this happen but I wonder if you are running out of memory. Might want to try rendering directly to EXR file with a preview in the buffer and not the full rendering.
Many thanks for your reply. i'm new to this EXR file, never done it before. it would be really helpful if u can explain what it does, whats the logic and how to do it, or any links to an explanation would be great. Thanks

With screenshots this good you almost don't need a renderer.
Thanks oganocali.. please tell that to my boss..
Try disabling GI from indirect illumination. If the render finishes the problem is most likely related to too many partially transparent objects. (I just had that issue)..
I've tried this but it didnt make an differences.. some other things must be wrong..
realy sorry for my late response, been a really busy week.

I have just a couple of quick questions. In you model is the room completely closed? And if so is there any windows and or lights setup for vray? From the screenshot it was hard to tell, but if you render a completely closed in room without windows/lights then it will turn out black. Just a thought.
I second this question - the all black output seem to indicate it is rendering - just that there is no light in the scene.
Yes there is light in the scene, and its not completely closed room. if u check carefully its not completely black, but there are dots on the render results that seems like the light cache start kicking in. In other attempt of rendering sometimes the dots appear a lot more than what i've posted, but didnt continue progressing.@damaiyanto said:
But the render seems to stop working in the middle of process.
What do you mean by this? What is it that makes it seem that its stopping?
What is happening? Are there error messages etc?
there's no error messages, the reason i said it stop working is because i can see it start working in the beginning with the dots appear and stuffs, but it seems like its stop progressing. and when i checked in windows task manager it seems that the processor still working in 100% for sketchup even when the rendering stop to progress.
ooo ya, i think i failed to attach the render final result before because it didnt show on my first post. so let me try that again now
Thank u good people...
Thanks for replies.
Sorry i forgot to mention details. The file size is 42Mb, Sketchup pro 8, i build all the models on sketchup.
i'm using windows 7 ultimate, Intel Core i3 2100 @3.10Ghz, 8Gb RAM.
Unfortunately i cant share the file, company policy
I attached screenshot to give some clue what im working with.
Many thanks...
Hi masters, need help here.. i've been trying to render with vray 1.49.01. But the render seems to stop working in the middle of process.
I have no idea what have i done wrong. I've been wandering around the internet to find solution. Maybe there's issue with sketchup native materials in vray???
Many thanks,
This is what happen with me TIG..
I wonder what i did wrong?? i selected all the face and edges, operate the the extrude, and choose "yes" at the dialogue for separated/branched edges..
