@dave r said: But the text portion is very useful if you need a cut list. I also find it useful as a quick check for problem dimensions. I agree completely on both points. The printed parts list is my go-to to take to the lumber yard when selecting boards. And I embarrassingly often discover parts that were drawn just a bit out of whack when their dimensions come out on the printed cutlist with the dread ~.

Subject: Making measured drawings from warehouse drawings @daddywoofdawg said: I'm using 2016 make and have downloaded a "drawing"from 3d warehouse.I can run the tape over it to get measurements, but what I want to do is make measured drawing with measured components/parts to print out. So my question is how to Make measured drawings from warehouse drawings? The full answer to you question is very long and it depends on how the "drawing" was created. Did the author use components when they drew it? Did they make them correctly and precisely? Assuming they did do those things, you would be able to place copies of the components in the model and use the Dimension Tool to add dimensions and the text tool to add callouts and labels. Scenes will provide you with views you can return to and layers will provide you visibility control. If you want to make professional-looking plans you could use LayOut and add the dimensions and text there.

I like an relatively easy problem The two lines of docked toolbars nearer the top of the screen have pushed the other [first] docked toolbars downwards. Simply un-dock the problem ones [drag onto the main screen], then re-dock them in-line with the other toolbar[s] as desired... You could also dock them on the sides if you prefer...
