<!-- ia2 -->SmallRender020.jpg<!-- ia2 -->[/attachment:34r94ddp] Here are couple of other renders too. <!-- ia1 -->SmallRender006.jpg<!-- ia1 -->[/attachment:34r94ddp] <!-- ia0 -->SmallRender017.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:34r94ddp] Please, on C&C on the rendering modelling, not the design, as I have no control over the design. PS, Im doing this as a hobby, not for money. Cheers Clone the reflections out in Photoshop or sink the lights deeper in their receptacles so the grazing light is only directed down and not out.

Yeah, rendering the flames to look as real as possible is a whole 'nother can of worms unforunately.

Crazy! Mate for a home in NZ it seems very compartmented. I would have imagined NZ would have even in older homes more connection between the kitchen / dining / living?

Thanks all for your interest and comments. I'm not the designer on this house and I never plan to be a designer (excuse the pun). I'm just the modeller and renderer, so those comments have been helpful. I know there is always room for improvements, and thats why I like to hear what you've said. I'll see if the next lot of renders can surpass this one. Cheers

The floor is contained within a component and then a group. The group's internal origin point was far of. Since you can't change a group's origin you either have to explode it, or convert it to a component and then change it's axes.

@pbacot said: Inspiring, Lyall. The level of detail is very consistent so it looks like a real table-top model. Is that a bump map on the roofing? The colors and textures actually work well together as is. Thanks for positing this. Thanks pbacot. The textures are just SU standard with some colour tweaking. The Roof looks that good because it's mish-mashed due to the triangulation on the roof and usually it would look terrible on a model but in this case it makes it look bump mapped. Here is the final model at this stage. The front is all complete, but the back isn't. I might get some more imagination at a later date and complete, or if some one else wants to complete it let me know and I'll give you the file. Oh, and the pigeons are from the 3D Warhouse. @tomislavm said: Maybe this can help! Thanks for the resource, I managed to find some decent enough plans after searching on Goolge for... how many days??? Ive restarted the model and now have one side of the fuselage is almost complete. Oops, no! Guess I haven't... I thought I'd saved it before I made the changes and closed it... oh well! @spider74 said: the plane is just as cool as the first model, like the way you go for alternative looking vechicles.hard to guess what the next one will be.Great modeling Thanks, I just model what catches my eye when surfing. The first two models were quite simple because I wasn't going for accuracy and they both are very square. I thought I'd challange myself a bit.

For product (studio) renders I would use a Diffuse HDRI Something like what is attached (just drop the .txt at the end). You can mess with the base color in PS to get it to where you want it. The thing with studio renders it you only want there to be light artificial light sources (typically). Very rarely would you use an exterior environment. Some of that is personal preference though. Good HDRI's are not cheap or small in file size so beware. What version of Hypershot are you using? Make sure you have the most recent as there have been some changes. Scott room diffuse.hdr.txt

In this tutoral it explains that hypershot can use normal maps for a 3d look on textures. http://www.bunkspeed.com/hypershot/tutorials/TexturedMaterials/ and also mentions of a psp plugin for creating normal maps which is here: http://developer.nvidia.com/object/photoshop_dds_plugins.html#downloads

Hi Crazy Eyes, yes do remember the emaily thing, ... you can see here http://www.softtech.com/service/training-material/videos-spirit-16.html and scroll down to watch SPIRIT <> Sketchup Interoperability vid. I use import / export all the time. there are trcks to rid of the cross over lines in Spirit when import a skp. file. But the xreferancing is something very cool.
