I take it that SketchyPhysics is allowed?

RE: [WIP][$] Vertex Edit
Thom,
It's looking great and will definitely be on my "Buy" list!My feature request should be pretty simple?? Please, please, make a Chris Fulmer type menu item ("TT tools" or similar) - with all your stuff that's on the user's machine listed there.
I am a plugin junkie and "hunt the plugin" gets very tiring!

RE: Spinoza's God
I think Spinoza would have loved Object Oriented programming - we are all sub-classed from God.

RE: New London tower
It perfectly reflects the state of Britain at the moment - a comprehensive clusterf..

RE: [Plugin] cgScenesMAC v 2 April 2010
I am not getting anything except a blank, small window with V2 (didn't try V1 so can't compare).
Perhaps John could explain what goes where exactly as this might be the problem. (I put the Chris Glasier folder in my plugins folder and loaded the rb into a running instance of SU - it didn't load automatically from the Chris Glasier folder).

RE: Is SketchUp what I am looking for?
As Mitcorb says, it's easily done with a screen recorder ( Screenflow for the Mac in this case)

RE: Dickens' Desk in SketchUp
Ron,
That's a terrific desk and a super model. I haven't seen your stuff or your web site before - both great. I am really glad you posted this.I'd love to build it but I am not sure where in our house it would fit. I note the use of planted drawer fronts which I have never had much luck with - I suppose because they have mostly not been made from QS material and they have cupped on me. Still, this piece cries to be made from QS oak (or mahogany I suppose).

RE: Google intermitent?
Over the last month or so, I have found that Gmail has become very slow to respond - so much so that I opened a Hotmail account (shudder) as a fallback.Trouble is, that I have been on Gmail since day one and I have several GB of archived material there and I am loathe to change.
The slowdown has also afflicted other parts of the Google machine at times but Gmail is the primary sufferer.

RE: HELP MAC & kerkythea exporter
Your file path misses the bit that says whether or not this is the User's or Root's path to the Plugins folder. On a Mac, it is important to install all plugins in the Root plugins folder and to make sure the User plugins folder is at least empty and preferably deleted.
On my machine, the path to the KT plun is Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/Plugins/su2kt.rb there is also a su2kt folder in the same plugins folder. If you can't see a toolbar, make sure it is enabled through the View> Tool Palettes menu item.

RE: Stupid Question warning - need help filling in a face
You have to apply the translucent material to both sides of the face to see through it from either side.

RE: [Plugin] Extrude Edges by Loft
Fantastic! TIG, thank you very much indeed for these great plugins.

RE: [Plugin] Extrude Edges by Loft
I don't know if this is another Mac peculiarity but I get very strange results. From three circles (two copies plus an original), when I would expect a cylinder to result, I get this:-
I attach the skp file just in case there is something weird lurking in it.

RE: [Plugin] Center of Gravity
Congratulations TIG! It does indeed wor=k on my machine now - what was the issue?
I don't wish to sound as if I am complaining but it seems rather slow to come to a result even for a very simple block shape.

RE: Trouble loading plugins
Just to add a small rider to Jeff's excellent reply. SU only needs one plugins folder and that is the one here:-
MacintoshHD/ Library/ Application Support/ Google SketchUp 7/ SketchUp/ plugins
I suuggest you move all plugins from the other user level folder to the one above and remove the user level plugins folder completely.

RE: [Plugin] Center of Gravity
Most mysterious. I have tried with no other plugins or tools in the respective folders and using CofG version 1.4 I still get:-
Error; #<NoMethodError; undefined method `db' for CofGravity;Class> /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/Plugins/CofGravity.rb;156;in `do_calculation' /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/Plugins/CofGravity.rb;816 /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/Plugins/CofGravity.rb;156;in `call' /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/Plugins/CofGravity.rb;156

RE: [Plugin] Center of Gravity
Possibly something to do with the version of Ruby? Macs running Snow Leopard come with a pre-packaged version 1.8.7 of Ruby.

RE: [Plugin] Center of Gravity
TIG,
Sorry for the earlier abbreviated message - I got called away from the computer.
I get the following when trying CofG (Version 1.4 here).
QUOTE
Error: #<NoMethodError: undefined method
db' for CofGravity:Class> /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/Plugins/CofGravity.rb:156:in

RE: Instability on Mac os x 10.6.2
Without the sort of constant attention a gardener gives to his domain, SU models can quickly get overgrown and disorganized.
A very useful script is ttcleanup.rb by ThomThom that can be used to (as its name suggests), clean up an entire model - removing unnecessary clutter such as orphan edges, unused textures, components and the like that can really weigh a model down.
