Great renders you have obviously got talent.
But, fisheye lens effect in architectural renders? Just a huge no-no really.

RE: Corner Shop
Hi John,
Can I ask where you sourced the texture for the stone copings and the "service and repair" sign from? I'm looking for something similar myself. Is it Arroway? -

Just bought it, cheers.
Be aware Norton 2011 users that it kills the exe download as it doesnt have a high enough reputation yet
So temporarily deactivate norton whilst you grab the file. -

RE: Soft colour and linework
Love these David, I guess my only crit would be to remove some of the xray lines from the larger white faces of the walls.
Nice details too. -
RE: Vanishing Edge Pool (Animation)
Very nice work Earthmover. I guess my only crit in the whole video is the fact you mixed 3d people with 2d cutout. Am I right in guessing the 2D cutouts are relatives of the client? The 3D guys look like they are picking a fight at one point
Anyway like I said, its excellent work the animation is very smooth. -
RE: Dutch Pavillion design, World Expo 2015 Milan
Well I guess my only crit would be that during the video, sometimes the camera goes thru walls briefly whilst moving the viewing angle within a room. I'd try tweak that, and maybe add a little more to the written commentary?
I didn't really want to crit, because I presumed this was already a submitted work. -

Which plugins to install?
Hi guys,
I usually use 'vanilla' sketchup, so I dont use any plugins at all except for joint push pull.
I have an existing land survey that I have imported into sketchup, the land is quite steep so the proposed car parking area will require alot of earth work excavations. I'd like to try and model the car park to give the client an idea of the amount of excavation required. I'm finding sketchup pretty tough going with terrain modelling, the sandbox tools arent great, so are there any plugins that would be very helpful for me that I should be using for this job? Or is it a bad idea to attempt it in sketchup? The only thing I really model are nice straight buildings 99% of the time!
Cheers! -
RE: Urban Interstice

RE: SU upgrade to 8.0.4811 (Maintenance 1)
Just reinstalled but the message didnt appear. Obviously the info is still in the registry so doesnt need to do it again. I'll check out compatibility settings in the Microsoft forums to see what I need to do to take them off.
