well the Bible can be inspiration for quite some freaky stories. should read it at some point (only from a narrator's point of fiew - its too late to convert to this believe).

It's only too late when you're dead.
      ...
      are you dead?

    • RE: There are NO dates for SU 7.

When SU was with @Last, there seemed to be a good level of communication with the developers - keeping us informed with developments & release dates etc.

Since it's gone to Google, I feel like a brick wall has gone up - nothing gets in, nothing comes out. Has anybody heard anything? Are they still working on SU, or is it just sitting there?

    • RE: Didier Bur's projection_extension.zip file

      Hi Didier,

First of all - many thanks for your scripts - they are indeed fantastic. When I see your name next to a script I know it's going to be useful.

I've downloaded your Projection Extension v6 script and I like the improved toolbar - especially the place construction point option. The interesting thing I've come across is that even though the dialog box says it's in mm, it actually executes in inches - wierd. My model units are mm, so I'm not sure what's going on there.

Anyway - keep up the good work!

    • RE: Car Crash WIP *Now with Video*

      Justin,

I've been watching your work for a while now (since you posted your initial character images). It's very impressive and a testament not only to your artistic abilities, but also to your patience, attention to detail and logical process.

I suspect I can see some of your influences - tell me if I'm wrong:

      1. Cully Hamner
      2. Bart Sears
      3. Geof Darrow

Do any of these ring a bell (only three of my favourite comic artists).

Keep it up - it's cool as.

    • SketchUp in Cloverfield

I was wathcing the behind-the-scenes stuff for Cloverfield. The production designer showed some screenshots of him designing one of the sets, and although it's unconfirmed, I could swear that it was SketchUp. Cool!

    • RE: Round edges TWICE...please help!

It's easiest to get the prow shape before you fillet your edges - then you can just do a FollowMe to the whole shape

Hmmm, after reading this thread I can't see a good reason to install SP3 at all. Can anyone give me one?

iGor - check the spelling in your signature. Kind of ruins the point (unless it's intentional) when you misspell "intelligence" and "natural". β˜€

These are all good questions. If you did a quick search you will have realised that they have been being asked for a while - Google is being Mum

    • Hello, I'm back

It's been a while - I used to be frequent on the old SU forums (as BruceWalker, or BruceW - can't remember) but kind of lost interest with the whole Google changeover.

Now that this forum seems to have a decent, stable history behind it (and more closely resembles the @Last forums than the Google ones do) I thought I'd jump back in. 😍
