This is an older type... Wellhead. (again, thanks to Ken )

The first pic is the original that I am using as a guide. I have no dimensions to work with except that it's approx. 15-20ft tall so I am eyeballing the heck out of this thing. Some of you with sharp eyes will notice a lot of proportions are off and some details are missing. Some of them are going to stay that way.

What I'm learning the most on this exercise is work flow. And boy, am I learning a lot. (but grammar isn't one of them ) I would like to give credit to http://www.martinrinehart.com/models/tutorial/tutorial_toc.html for really helping me to understand work flow better.

That is a great style and reminds me of some famous illustrator whose name escapes me, but whom I really admire.

Tell whoever designed this that there are near-flush mounts made just for that glass attachment. They are very thin, rounded edge, smooth finish, disk shaped mounts that are placed on top of the glass and attached by internal threaded screw, through a small hole in the glass, to the support posts.

Also, sometimes glass tops are glued to the support posts/mounts.

Those look good. I don't see why you wouldn't get some work with those.

Thanks to all. I didn't quite figure what the problem was, but I managed to do what I had set out to do in the first place (move my models to another folder) and everything is resolved.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I'm using Vista and it has a slightly different way of doing things.

That might be where I'm running into problems. The file and folder permissions are easy enough to find, but the changes don't take. I am the owner and master admin of my PC.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask...

I cannot see my SketchUp 7 files in the Vista files explorer. I can see them and open them just fine in SketchUp, but Vista doesn't see them at all. It doesn't even see the folder I keep them in.

Anybody know what this is?

I have tried Google forums, but didn't see anything related.

I'm a big fan of the new style arch bridges. However, I'm having a hard time actually seeing the details of the design because of the style used.

But what I can see looks very cool.
