The extrude tool is not working for me neither in SU5 nor SU6. I can get the dialogue box (select a face>Plugins>JS Extrude) and enter my data but nothing happens. Any thoughts? I'll check back in the AM.

RE: [Plugin] Skin.rb
I think this script works well. I haven't tried it on complicated shapes, though.
Gaieus' suggestion of removing (placing a # in front of) the 2 lines in the script which calls the 2 UI message boxes is VERY helpful. For others, those 2 lines start with UI "fakestart" and UI "!" They are probably 2/3 the way down the code. Disabling these allows the script to create the faces immediately.

Maybe I've missed something, Tom, but this shadow looks every bit as good as most of the other shadows created by your trees.
Is it possible I'm not paying attention......
Still searching for an avatar. I've never had one before. Gee, how exciting!

RE: Open multiple files
This is a test. I registered last Wednesday, yet the above post shows me as "not yet registered"
Edit: All's well. Maybe there was a forum update/maintenance I missed.

I know you can open multiple sketchups, I'd like to open multiple file while in sketchup, like you can in almost every other program.
If you mean that you'd like to open different SU files in the SAME window, then you can't.

RE: A Pencil Style for ya...
Thanks for your contrubution Ross. I also use different styles to "test" my design. I think this is an effective and fun way to experiment. In my opinion, this is one of the best uses for the styles options.

Joe, my thought at first too...but it goes in the Library folder and then shows up in the materials browser just like all the standard SU5 skm's. Neat, huh? Best, Tom.
Ah ha. Thanks Tom. I had forgotten this. I found this thread while searching for a way to put RAL, SW and Pantone colors into SU5.
Edit: Tom, I can't get this to work for me. I've done this a hundred times before. I know I'm goofing up somewhere, but don't know where. I'll keep trying. I'm unzipping the files in the Library folder of SU5. Argggg.

RE: Cheap peeps

RE: Send a message to Google: Hire CraigD now!
I just now sent my email in support of Craig. My goodness, what would this forum be without him?
Say it ain't so.
Edit: I did add some language about how valuable Craig is and what an asset he is to the forums.

Charlie,
What a great tip! I didn't know this, either. Thanks.

Coen,
You've done so much here that this is considered a minor goof. No worries. Do what you think is best. We all trust you to make the right decision.

Ok after downloading these and trying to open them, I find they are created in sketchup 6 none of these are any good to anyone, and there must be thousands of us out there using sketchup 5,4,or even 3. Why is this and why can't these be universal to open in any version. I will not spend another 500 bucks for another version.......
RGHere's V5
Edit - Thanks todamngood for the doors.

RE: SketchyPhysics Alpha
Hi Chris,
I had left a post over on the Google Groups about this, but thought I should mention it here as well. The strange images of guys playing crochet, etc are under the SketchPhysics directory at dhtml-suite-for-application>demos>demos-images. I would think they could be deleted??
Absolutely love this script.
