Hi ecofeco, here is my most recent image. Please excuse the lack of sky as, I'm trying a new method using photoshop.

Maybe it's because it is my work and I see it everyday, but I just think my drawings are a bit messy and boring. Lack a certain something.

Hi all of those sound good. Just any images like those you have listed, as I want to see how other SketchUp users are structuring there work/images.

Although if your asking what I design - Garden offices, studios, annexes, lodges.

    • Garden buildings

Hi hope this is the right forum.

I design garden buildings for a living and I'm hoping to improve the quality of render I produce. As I have seen some amazing images on this forum which put mine to shame.

If you have any nice images along the lines of this beauty http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=33659&p=298688#p298688 could you perhaps post them up or link me to them as I'm trying to get a better understanding of how these quality images are constructed.

If you check my history/profile I have some images of my work from a couple of months ago.

Thanks and I'll pop back later.

Hi j, I have found most of them with the exception of the cup plugin! There are soso many plugins, mind boggling.

    • RE: Useful curved tree line

Wow these are great! I use a similar method where I import a jpeg and project it on to a curved face for my background. I leave the sky in, may I ask why you removed it other than the obvious you can change the sky.

Do you add your sky in photoshop? Anyway thanks a bunch as I'll use these a lot.

    • RE: [Plugin] SketchyFFD (Classic)

Hi guys, thanks for making this plugin!! I'm new to SKP plugins but experienced enough with sketchup.

I have had a quick play with this tool, first on a cube it appeared to do nothing, then on a dome and it worked.

Could people explain, where and when this tool would best be used? I'm currently think for floors, but then we already have sandbox.

      Thanks for your advice.

I really like the images especially the inside!! Whee can I find/buy solo's plants, rp tree maker and olisheas tree lines? I like the details such as the birds and the cup on the arm rest. Did you model the furniture?

Wow! Some of the people on this forum are crazy good! I'm reasonably experienced 3 years, but well WOW!

What is/are SDS2, FFD and lines2cylinder? Where can I find them.

Are the images rendered in a separate renderer?

    • Photoshop in SketchUp

I tend to only use SU and podium, occasionally I'll use PS but as my skills and time are limited I tend not to.

Just wondering what the main alterations are that people do to their renders. I have seen a watercolour effect used.

What are you shopping into or out of your images.

Unfortunately the file is 55.8mb eve when zipped so I can't get it on here.

Dynamic wise i want to make decking and some building templates as the buildings I design are very similar, also guttering would be great.

I have just seen a tool called keyshot/bunkspeed looks powerful and simple, after a quick play.

      Thanks for the help.

What do you model for your job. Are you talking arch-viz work here? And you're looking to get into rendering?

I design small cedar clad buildings. It is visualization but I'm not a trained architect, my background is furniture and exhibition. I have tried to upload a SKP file but it does not seem to work. I would like to be able to do photo realistic renders and also learn a few tools to speed up productivity.

    • Getting a bit behind - SketchUp skills

So i have used SketchUp for a while now and I'm pretty good at it, or so I thought until I saw the stuff you guys create!

After a look around the market at the hundreds of programs I have returned to SketchUp as I feel it is better to be the best at one rather than mediocre at many.

I feel I need to get to grips with dynamic components and a really good plug - in would people say v-ray is best?

I guess my question is what are the latest developments in SketchUp and what should I be learning? As although I use SKP in my job I don't often get the chance to use all it's features.

      Any advice would be great!

It is not a specific file as it happens to any drawing. I could turn off autosave, but why?
