That's some delicious modelling in the axle. Especially the top of the neck as it tapers and bends.

I'm not exactly sure what this is used for but I made a model of it anyway. The handle drives the ratchet wheel which drive the pointy bit on top upward. There's a tapered squre hole on the bottom of the handle which would appear to allow the handle to sit on something. I presume the pointing bit is used to split something.
And a cut-away view showing the threads and the rachet wheel and pawl.

Do what? Make 3D models in SketchUp? Yes. This model is an assembly of a bunch of separate parts I modeled mostly for my own entertainment and to practice using SketchUp.

No i mean are you a designer by profession? do you make you income from designing etc?
