Yes. Please send the model.
By the way, do you already know which result is the correct one?

Please see your messages. Thanks.

Is it possible to increase the size of the dialog box? On my screen it is so small it is almost impossible to see the buttons! I wondered whether there was an option but because of the small size I was unable to see it? Thank you

Hi Fredo,
Thanks for continuing to update your tools.
I'm having an issue with ThruPaint where I invoke the tool and it promptly does nothing. Nothing shows in the error console, it just refuses to come up.
EDIT:]Woops! Mybad. There is something in the Ruby console.

Hope this helps.
It was working fine for me prior to me updating things over the last two days. I'm using the latest downloads of FredoTools, and FredoLib, right out of the SU Plugin store.
I have double-checked the plugin footprint, and it looks like it should look.
Still on SU7.1.6860, Win7Prox64
Second update.
I have no idea why this worked but I unchecked Fredo Tools in the extensions, restarted and now Thrupaint is working just fine, as is everything else. The weird thing is, I did not re-enable The Fredo6 Fredo Tools extension, yet things are working fine.Update weirdness makes my head hurt,
I guess there's nothing to worry about after all.
Thanks in advance,
Cathryn -
Bonjour Fredo
-
This is due to SU2017, which is messing up dimensions in web dialogs.
Can you tell me if you can resize the dialog box?
Fred
-
Non, la boîte de dialogue n'est pas redimensionnable.

Hi Fredo, any reason the Sold Volume calculator would report a solid back as a minus figure?
I took volume calc from my marble model and thought something was strange with the result. So checked individual pieces and some are reporting a minus figure, which of course deducts itself from the final overall result. -
Cadmunkey, is it possible the faces are reversed on the volume?

Hi Dave, no I did check for this. I cant see a reason for it at all.
-
How about copying and pasting that volume into a new file and sharing it so we can see it?

Dave, happy to send it to you privately for a look? its a 12mb file.

@cadmunkey
You are right. Actually, the result is correct mathematically. In the algorithm, negative volumes are normally used for holes in solids. But intuitively, we are not used to negative volumes. So, I fixed it, and it will go in the next release.

Fredo
These are not holes in solids, if you want I can email you my model for analysis.
Its a marble stone cut list, and some of the stones are reporting back as negative volumes. -
I mean that when you flip along a group or component instances, you actually transform their axes and mathematically, this gives a negative volume, as it does for holes in the solid.
Anyway, many thanks for signalling the problem.

I wish Curvishear could be become way more usable by
letting user 'in-vivo' move a vertex (and thus setting desired height and slope direction)
