So Tomasz, would it be better to hold off on upgrading until Thea is fully functional on Mac?
I rely on Thea for work, and deadlines usually mean no time for screw ups.
Is there a timeframe on the Mac fix?

I am working on it as we speak. It is a highest priority for me to fix it.
Please hold off with the full switch to SU2013.
This shouldn't stop you from testing the new version, but at the moment Thea is not correctly reading materials inside SU2013 for Mac.
I hope the fix will be ready in few days.

Thanks Tomasz, both for your quick reply, and all your hard work.
          Think I'll just hang on.

I reinstalled Twilight and it seems to be working as expected. Profile Builder's preview window is broken.

I have a bit of a problem with which I hope you guys can help . .

I downloaded 2013 for a minute, but changed my mind and off-loaded it immediately. (Nothin' against 13 per se I just didn't have time to play with it and decided to download it later) I did nothing else with my file structure. SU 8 still in tact, etc.

However . . .now all of my SKP files have been Hi-jacked by Google as the Default program and the "open with" won't let me changeit back to SU for some reason. So I have to open SU first and then hunt for the file thru the "Open" pull down in SU rather than just double-click on the file itself to open it.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

                Thx in advance.

                David

use that browse feature to find the SU V8 exe and then make sure that "Always use this application is checked" it should then default back to SU8.

It doesn't remember your setting after you've browsed your way to Sketchup.exe?

You also might try the down arrow just under Chrome, (Other Programs) it may show SketchUp with out browsing to it.

Tried that several times. . .and it won't let me select Sketchup.exe or remember it. I will give it another go based on your suggestions.

                        Thanks guys.

Not a bad suggestion. Its too late at this point, but it could be a feature for the future. For now, you can differentiate by the default tool icons, if that helps.

in macs, if you have 8 and 2013 side by side on the dock, you can see that the 2013 icon is noticeably smaller thanthe previous one.

Well that's it. I'm bolting over to Form Z--

or at least form Y --it's an earlier version. Probably cheaper. 💚

What if you run SU 8, then close it.

Hoping it will reset the file association. At least it DOES on XP, AFAIK.

                                  I'm not here much anymore.

I had this happen before '13. Trird everything, after a MS update, reboot, all was fine.
It wasn't the update, just the hard re-boot.

                                            open SU V8
                                            close it.
find a file of V8 skp and right click on it.
                                            open with.
                                            navigate to the V8 exe.
                                            click ok
                                            should open in V8 now.
