Mac OS + SU2015, Clicking on any of CBS icon buttons (red, green, help, info) gives empty windows. I think it's something with the syntax in scripts such as unneeded spaces somewhere in parameters, but unfortunately I don't know ruby. I can use Extensions-CBS Tools Menu and choose any of the cabinets from the list, that works fine. But no help or wedi/wedib windows. [image: ZDZW_ScreenShot2014-11-26at13.36.32.png]

Ah ha! I found them in the 3D Warehouse. Seems like they require a lot of unneeded work to use. At least more work than I would want. I have an easier process for that sort of thing. Still, if they work for you, that's cool.

@slbaumgartner said: I mean this as discussion, not argument That's the way I understood it too, so I hope I didn't sound like I was arguing back... just agreeing that for board layout there's too many variables for it to be useful, but that mightn't be the case with (some) sheet goods. @slbaumgartner said: Even for sheet goods, the layout facilities in CutList don't take orientation of the figure into account. That would make it fairly useless for veneered sheet goods (or the laminated bamboo we often use) I wasn't sure whether it allowed you to specify grain direction in layout. @slbaumgartner said: To your second point, I have never been impressed with the layout algorithms in CutList. I've seen them propose a layout that called for a second sheet when those pieces could be fit into the first sheet by a bit of rearrangement and reorientation. That's disappointing, and by your overall account it would seem layout in its current incarnation has limited value — or least limited use cases where it might be of value. @dave r said: I know that Steve had been working on improving the layout section of the plugin shortly before his death. He and I had been discussing it only the week before. It's unfortunate that we won't see his improvements now. Maybe someone else will be able to take it further, though. That's too bad that he didn't have the chance to finish his work. Much worse that he passed too soon and without much forewarning (if I understood well from your earlier post) @dave r said: He was a good friend and I for one miss him. I never had the opportunity to interact with him, but I appreciate his contributions and I'm sorry for the loss of your friend.

Added info: The fractional conversion precision you have set in SU will affect what SU shows in say the entity info dialog. Take your 21 9/16, enter as decimal 21.5625 and set precision at 1/16, entity info reports 21 9/16, but set to say 1/2 and it will report with a different number with tilda showing only approximation. That precision basically controls the size of the denominator so you no not get cases where you have ie 100 /500 which would be use less to user. ( reason you can only set up to 1/64) If you see a case with the tilda you want to increase precision. For what you are trying to do I would never use that format I am more convinced part of the issue maybe you are violating the interface to the printer, the manual gives specs . BTW the maintenance manual is on thier site. I would have both near by! The print heads are basically same as in many small format printers. It converts the post script to raster via the included RPI I mention above and prints as raster so you need to make sure you have the correct inter face. When you feed it raster and the printer expects vector ?? Note there are also windows and auto CAD drivers what are you using?

Wow, in the Gallery, thanks Rich. Cheers Cotty. Dave: You can just see a strong arris on all edges in the model. In the real world I will hand-plane these, no sanding, I love the look of timber straight from the blade. I see what you mean about the single board on top and two below, will have to think about that. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go and look at the gallery

@davidheim1 said: I don't know whether this is a knock-down piece, but it could be something pre-IKEA. However, I'd hate to be the one who has to put it together. The top is nearly 6 ft. long, 2-1/2 ft. wide, and 2 in. thick. A little much to lift single-handed. Best, dh You reminded me of a table I once made. Top was 6 ft long, 46 inches wide, 1 1/2 thick, solid oak. After nearly killing myself manipulating it in the shop, I took a scale up there and discovered that it weighed about 130 lbs!!

Very nice, Gene. The cutouts in the back splats give the piece a little flavor of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Greene brothers. Best, dh

Just input number on the VBC (the little box dialog right bottom page) of Sketchup! Even type directly number on your numeric keyboard! When you click the surface a blue box must appear! [image: zPds_just.jpg] And of course ENTER after your pressure number! Your surface must be inflate! Now just enter directly another number (positive or negative) for another drawing! etc...to your form wished! [image: 99g9_just1.jpg]

Thank you, Dave. Those short stretchers do look as if they would poke dinner guests in the stomach. But hey, I just model 'em. You're probably right that the short and long stretchers join with a half-lap joint rather than the deep cutouts that I modeled in the long stretcher. Best, dh
