Inspired from Daves clamps I've done a tool model too...
**(most time needed in this order:
- render the model
- search for the name and the translation, I hope it is right?
- model it )**

Very nice and you have the translation correct.
Two small details: The scales would start and end right at the end of the rule and the faces of the head in green along with the one you can't see typically wouldn't be machined flat. Instead, they'd be painted black.

And the whole thing should be scratched to buggery making it nigh on impossible to read the scale.
