Then it will take taxes. You don't get something for nothing. I just think it is good for people to get paid for their work, best if it can be done without bake sales and more taxes. I agree the choices we make should not have to be "incentivized". I think a workable economic solution will spread more quickly, since it will not depend on governments to move forward and do more good. Regulation, Carbon tax, cap and trade are ways to do as you say and make us pay as we go for pollution and consumption, because apparently the market can't achieve that. I am not against that either. Again it takes governments to do it. Some like Europe will do it more than others.

@box said: Just as an example to make it clearer. In the Corner Bar you can post directly as it is a fully open forum but there are also sub forums within the corner bar for more specific questions. Therefore this thread would be more accurately placed if you had posted it in the subforum called Ideas Box & Board Issues. This is the anything goes forum so it's not that important, the others are more specific so that the questions go to the right places. Thanks again. I rarely stray from the gallery and WIP forums so I am unfamiliar with the rest of the board. I really appreciate the heads up.

Its time the Sheeple wake up and smell the SHIT they are covered in, Its the SHIT that Google is providing in return for free searches, all in the name of finding new advertising revenues. Same is true for FB, Twitter, Linkedin, etc. etc. But you have the option: opt out. and please complain vigorously, otherwise we will all be ruled by these predatory Companies, ....unless you like the smell! My advice: Don't use Google search engine. I use https://startpage.com/ as my startup search page. Don't buy an Android OS device. All you are buying a device that Google uses to spy on you. Run CCleaner each day on your computer system. On an Android OS you can't log out of Gmail. After doing simple search for "anything" you discover advertisements for "anything" on all your subsequent searches. Also some Newspaper links wont work on Android without a paying account. Its still best to stay with a Windows OS. Recently my password protected .zip files were rejected. I could not send them via Gmail. The comment was my zip file contained a virus. I had to remind the Gmail forum that the .rb extension is a Ruby file extension not a virus. I then changed the .rb extension to .txt, the file now passed the Silly Gmail Virus checker. I reminded the Gmail forum of this fact. Now my password protected .zip files are no longer rejected. Makes one wonder what type of people Google employs?

@dukejazz said: Why don't we pay them to raise Elephants under contract and them give the Elephants to the people that paid to raise them when they die.... then make sure that register Elephants are only then sold for body parts. Turn poacher to raise them... like rancher... longer they live the more money they receive paid noting when they die ....only value in Elephant are the living ones. ...death penalty if you murder one. or steal one....... only contractor can sell Good suggestion, although I would not be keen on the death penalty for poachers. Most of these guys seem to be dirt poor. Its the 'middle men' that should face severe penalties. World Wildlfe have the 'Adopt an African Elephant' program. @hieru said: @krisidious said: I require people to pay in phases. Sketch, Preliminary and the Construction docs. They pay at the beginning of each phase. That sounds like a good approach - I think I'll have to give it a go some time. Normally I rely on a rock-solid contract and a 50% deposit (if they won't pay that then it's usually a good indicator that you'll have trouble collecting your fees at the end of a project). Same process here. Worked well for the last 10yrs
