Interesting times ahead for Internet based businesses in the USA!

This graph shows how Netflix speeds changed after Comcast deal [Comcast Roundup]

"Since Netflix gave into Comcast’s demands for payment in exchange for a promise to deliver movies smoothly over the Internet to Netflix’s customers, speeds on Comcast for Netflix users have rocketed upward."

And if you notice, now all NEW Netflix customers have to pay more to join. Sad thing isn't it, that the stangle hold is starting.

Better late than never but, having gone through the (now) ritualistic Netflix sign up process via my semi intelligent tv I have decided that,

          1. Netflix films and television series are really old and you can get these reruns with the repeats that are repeatedly classic'd or any other new word for repeats.

          2. We found one film in the whole selection that we had NOT watched on television or already bought and the claim for constant updates and renewals is still some years off the pace of new seasons.

          3. Netflix is not worth the calories burned up going through the sign up process frankly.

Mike A you must be quite a film watcher. But there's hardly anything new on Netflix or the newer stuff is not the better films. I found foreign films, especially Asian, but after years of NF, I think I've exahausted any fresh film offerings that I'd want to watch.

I did watch Cosmos on it and this is another reason to dump the service (after I finish up the last Madmen).
