Hi guys, the final migration is planned for 12 MST (U.S. Mountain Time) today, July 9th, and the old forums will be decommissioned then. I know, sadly this time has come. I hope you'll stop by the Groups now and again to see the updates we're planning, and I sure do appreciate all of your contributions to the old forum. That's where I first met you all! In the meantime, there will be a redirect from the old forum link to the new Groups link when the migration is complete, and I'm sure I'll see you all here. Cheers, CraigD

Mike, The interesting thing is that if you look very closely at that 1st image there's actually a scooter in the background. Jackson

I'm also sorry to hear that Gaieus. Edson - I think I'm around the same latitude as you (28.5) and we are experiencing a cold winter. The mountains inland from me are getting severe frosts and the snow in places.

Will- thanks for making me feel better- it's so seamless, I was baffled at first as well! Tom- I'm just dipping my toes in the market, but your price seems extremely fair. I guess the better question is, how did the client respond to the work and the price? Dave

Someone on one of my Construction Forums mentioned that Updaters might be hogging resources, I checked to see which of my Updaters were turned on and found my AV was. Really glad I got that figured out. http://www.woodsshop.com

I like this topic. I have had several discussion with several different people about this very thing. I really love a quick sketch for dumping an idea, I would love to be able to sketch better and faster than I currently do. I'm really taken in by the quick sketches of an idea, they have a certain quality about them that leaves some to the imagination and at the same time very informative. This topic made me think of a book an associate of ours wrote called Rapid Vis Toolkit which is a great book for helping to understand how to quickly visualize ideas and also the organization of ideas. Pretty fun stuff! Edit: I still need to read the white papers, they look informative.

Sorry Joe, I didn't see your post until late (I usually check the forum once a day at work - when i should be working). I had actually checked your website when i first stumbled across this thread - no threats detected, by either IE7 or my antivirus software.

Wow Prodigiua, if that is what happened, that's incredible! Heck, even if it was a piece off a regular aeroplane that's amazing. Either way I guess you're extremely lucky it hit your leg and not your head .... or extremely unlucky it hit you at all!

yes - but a concrete verandah (porch) is not the same as a timber one. Must be at least 12' wide, preferably 15'

Thanks, rhankc! It seems this is the site of a SketchUp reseller...I think. It seems to me that @Last/Google should have copyright on both images and text, if I don't. I never really understood how that happened...but Aidan Chopra told me at 3D Basecamp that they were using the English version of this on pamphlets sent out to architecture schools. Oh well, who cares?...it was a long time ago. I'll have to add this to my resume in some creative way..."projects profiled on Dutch, Portuguese, and English web sites" or something.
