We have a situation here in Northern Ireland where there was quite a bit of religious discrimination in the past - advertisements read "Catholics neeed not apply" very similar to the racial discrimination in the states in the 50's & 60's. Now the make up of a workplace must be similar to the local community ( 55% / 45% - Protestant / Catholic). Even the police force has had positive discrimination to bring up the number of catholics (during the troubles very few catholics joined the police force as they would have been targetted by the paramilitaries). Again - ability is being sidelined for minority promotion - I believe people should be employed on merit - not their ethnicity or religion. Northern Ireland is a superb place to live but the sectarianism is still pretty bad and these Equal Opportunity Laws provide some protection to the individual but common sense seems to have been left out of it.

Respect for the French. The have a glorious history of getting rid of people who rule them the way they don't like. The Europeans (we Dutch)are getting robbed of there pension rights ,to finance the current financial crisis. Most working Dutch have payed all there working live (min 40j) for a pension right for the elderly (100% AOW) in a state fund. Until now this gives them a right of a bare minimum income at 65 j On top of that most working people build up a private pension ,via a employee pension fund ore a insurance's company to lift there income at 65 j to 70% of there latest income. This was one off the most stable and solidarity pension systems. However at the Lisbon Treaty the EU (the Dutch voted against the EU at a referendum) have decided to level out all European pension right. The financial (banking) crisis however is used now as a excuse to strip down the solid pension systems in Europe to the level off the weak ones. I hope the French will wake up the rest off Europe, Viva la France Bep van Malde

Yes, according o the current settings, [img] tags are not allowed in signatures. Existing ones are not "banned" by the system though. Al, please, PM me if you have an idea of changing yours.

@starling75 said: Well I am not a programmer, so I can't judge whether Qt framework is horrible or not We will see what Dassault and Graebert can do with DS in future... It doesn't really matter if you aren't a programmer, Qt just has a very different approach in its interface, to how OSX works. If you are a windows user, you won't notice much difference. Having said that, the file system in DS, is much better than that of QCad, but then QCad hasn't seen an upgrade in ages But on Mac, DS crawls. Fortunately there are good alternatives like PowerCADD 8/9 and Highdesign, both designed to work on the Mac.

Hi Sketchy, I just sent you a PM asking for a bit more info so I can look into the issue you're seeing with LayOut.

It could also be a possibility to make the bands vertical instead. It's surely a different layout, but equally interesting. It would probably be easier to implement windows and let the right amount of light in... [image: tg3c_2withoutWEB.png] [image: ZYuZ_2withWEB.png]

And the Orloj (clock tower - or the clock itself?) of the Old Town Hall in Prague is 600 years old. YouTube - Orloj 600 let vyroci HD [flash=480,385:vubp3e2v]http://www.youtube.com/v/RnQdE4vPV8g?fs=1&hl=en_US[/flash:vubp3e2v] Then one year I took part in the Lyon's Festival of Light where the whole city is being actively lit this way. It's generally held some time at the beginning of December so it is dark quite early in the evenings already.

@solo said: what about very heavy models? Mozplugger redirects any window into a Firefox tab, so it's no more than running SketchUp and Firefox at the same time. But it's really supposed to be used with document viewers and I agree that it's useless for SketchUp.
