AUSTRALIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION
Jan Utzon “bashed” near Sydney
Pritzker Architecture Prize–winner Joern Utzon never had an easy time in Sydney, Australia, once his iconic design for the city’s Opera House was under way. Now, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reports that his son, Jan Utzon, was attacked in nearby Manly this weekend while on a trip to oversee the building’s remodeling. Utzon received bruises to his face and knee, but wasn’t particularly fazed by his misfortune. "It's a real testament to him that he said that this event hasn't tarnished his view of Sydney,” state Member of Parliament Mike Baird says. “We appreciate that, and hopefully he can accept our sincere apologies on behalf of Manly."

Yes, the Prince of architectural darkness in Great Britain is called Charles.

A very large percentage of land in the UK is owned by the royal family. Not good.
