@stilteg said: You should give some more details in what skills you are interested about, the universe in which you are planning your modelling etc... i am looking for those skilled in developing interior and exterior models of buildings anything from apartments to diners.though a bit into the story alot of the setting will take place in the the rocky mountains of colorado.... my current computer doesnt have the specs to design with a high level of detail and with alot of 3d models already in the 3d warehouse, there are very few projects that i would like help with... the universe in which my story takess place is the same of our own, only it will change quite drasticly in the near future. my story will have drama, alot of action and some science fiction elements i am very proud of my story and am soon gonna file for Copyrights. i am dead serious about completing this project as it is part of my lifes ambition.

I agree, they must approach it like a kitchen fitter - all preplanned and mapped out Now they're on Boing Boing http://www.boingboing.net/2011/03/15/curvy-wood-floors-us.html

[if it doesn't get your eyes tested or your monitor re-calibrated] As the dots disappear the grid appears to regularize, but it doesn't change at all - it was always thus........... yes of course but take a "print shot" of the video, you will see that I said is also true Draw a red vertical line and the see left corner bottom! it's just not a perfect video And the effect is also well known groups of different colors(here white dots)afect other environment's color for the brain (blacks squares) As these white dots are tricky positionned illusion can run Collapse them at each center of the black squares you will obtain another one

Figured it out, it's called "Look Around You". More of an 80s-ish feel rather than 60s. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBcrTucxiRc

Yes. Absolutely. My very close friend Richard, lives in Tokyo. Fortunately he's alright, but he said it was extremely shocking. Odly enough, another very good friend Mike, was in Christchurch when that earthquake struck. His wife was visiting family when that quake struck. They got out just in time before their whole house collapsed. I think the whole family are still in a tent in the back garden. We must design and engineer buildings that withstand almost anything our planet throws at us, if we are to survive.

Nice to see practical applications of software. I once used CAD to plan how to re-order my living room, and again when I was planning the location of my home theater speakers.

You need to ask yourself some questions: What happens to the drives (containing your data) on these servers when they are decommisioned , the service goes bankrupt or if the hardware is stolen? Do you know the poeple who run this company? (Would you give a CD-Rom of your most sensitive data to someone you do not know to keep?) Would your clients be happy in the knowledge that their data and designs (for example banks, prisons, private residences etc.) are being stored in this way? If your backup contains any personal data you have obligations under the Data Protection Act (UK) in terms of how the data is encrypted and secured. You will not have a defense if these obligations are breached in the context of storage on-line. I do not think this 'spreads' risk but rather increases it.

My kids spend hours playing the game. Looking forward to the IOS version so they get off the home computers. It is very basic but they spend an amazing amount of time playing it. Very basic graphics. One of the same kids obsesses over Xplane mods where the entire plane is modeled down to the operable ashtrays...

i wuoldn't say hooked. I mean I was jazzed when Pete showed this in Boulder. . . and I knew I was going to drink the kool-aid as it were, but seeing what you guys do with this and comparing it to where I am at. . .I gotta ways to go. So yes. .. I am committed. I mean. . .I put out the $$ so I gotta learn it. . but it's going to be a while before I am confident in doing cool cars, or cannons or that kinda stuff. Please stand by!
