My very close friend Richard, lives in Tokyo. Fortunately he's alright, but he said it was extremely shocking.
Odly enough, another very good friend Mike, was in Christchurch when that earthquake struck. His wife was visiting family when that quake struck. They got out just in time before their whole house collapsed.
I think the whole family are still in a tent in the back garden.We must design and engineer buildings that withstand almost anything our planet throws at us, if we are to survive.
