If I read the limitations correctly it also will not let you import any models.

Hulls does a great job for hard chined boats. I used it to design the cradle boat I built for my son and I've drawn a few other boats. Sketchboard is a dead thing. It had been mentioned on the old sketchup forums... Last update is on 19 Mar 2005....

It has "issues" with certain graphic-heavy PDF files, and printing limitations. No frills is what you get...Foxit is bigger but handles more PDF types.

Yeah, it says something about the site - and indeed there are very different programs downloadable there so everyone use it to his/her own risk. However, things like this (from McAfee) drive me nuts; it does not allow to visit the site advisor page only in Hungarian. Either by IP of OS native language, I could be a foreigner in Hungary now being stumped. This is not "service" but forcing one to read something in one particular language.

Thanks for the link Jon. A friend just gave me his un-used Verizon XV6700 pocketpc phone. They never used it one bit. Never even had service. Not sure if I'll put cell service on it but it's a cool wifi PDA. I was looking for a good ppc freeware site. Thanks Glenn

I recently noticed that Meshlab will do this as well, although (DAE>3DS) components need to be exploded first in the SketchUp model before export as GE4 KMZ. http://meshlab.sourceforge.net/ Actually, I just did a test and found a problem with SketchUp components with a direct import of a KMZ-derived Collada into Blender as well...all components have their scale reset, and sometimes their orientation(?) seems to have changed. Seems like the workaround here would also be to explode every group and component in the SU model before exporting to KMZ. And my textures were removed from the model, although since they are packaged in the original KMZ folder it should be possible to reassociate them in Blender easily enough. Or maybe not so easily, if you don't understand Blender's texture mapping tools. Also, Blender has a display limitation (similar to SketchUp's infamous "clipping error") in the unit dimensions of a scene...chances are that you need to scale any architecture-size SketchUp model down, considerably, before export so that it will be visible properly in Blender.
