I could swear I had posted the link to my Channel, lol. Oh, and by speed modelling I mean just sped-up videos. Most of those models took 2~3 hours to do, each. Anyways, it's worth to watch the videos, I guarantee ^^ http://www.youtube.com/andretbms http://www.youtube.com/andretbms

From an another forum @unknownuser said: Shaderlight for SketchUp I have seen this thread and will be upfront that I work for ArtVPS who is developing Shaderlight. I can confirm that Shaderlight will have the ability to place light sources in a model, we have 5 different light options including IES profiles, so you will be able to quickly place the light profiles to give realistic lighting information. We have also included a new Physical Sky system, which will be a much more realistic version of the SketchUp shadow system. I am going to be at Basecamp next week and will have a slot presenting Shaderlight. But if anybody is there and would like to see the near complete version of Shaderlight I would be happy to sit down and show the software and answer direct questions, I will buy the coffee. Martin

Nice presentation and very useful. @unknownuser said: I can see the need for a high end marketing video, and the investment that goes with that Hm, what about baking textures and cast-shadows, then render the animation in SU without shadows? I used blender for this baking-render. A SU anim export. http://forums.sketchucation.com/download/file.php?id=32178

Thanks a bunch guys. It is grainy as we were under short time constraints and I had 3 interior and 4 exterior renderings to crank out. And I just found out about Neat Image on the Twilight forum. I will definitely use it in the future.

Hi Sully, Nice render & Model. Only thing i spotted was the oven - left hand side of it is missing and the unit underneath is twisted or warped a bit. Other than that - really good.

@michaelg said: Shaderlight provides a great user experience for a newcomer to computer graphics like me. Gives me another reason to stick with SketchUp. Nice render Michael - and it's great to see that you're using the Shaderlight beta. Obviously with the artificial lights and GI (in the full version coming very soon!), you'll get even better results with interior scenes. Keep posting your images, we love to see what everyone's working on! Kate

Thanks Mate, Your Blog and Cadtutor Posts had inspired me to take another look at SU. After Downloading Fredo's Plugins last night, i am excited about using SU to its full potential. I will source a render program and look into buying the pro version of SU later in the year. 3d in Autocad is hard work after using SU.

Thanks, Scott. I know this can improve a lot and I thank you for your suggestions. I made these new videos slow because my client got headaches from my older, faster videos made 5 years ago in Artlantis 4.5, but it seems I exaggerated. Most of the furniture was brought over from the original 5-year old ArchiCAD models. I've been trying to replace most of it with better stuff from the 3D warehouse, but time is limited. Same excuse for the rest. Still, there's a couple weeks left until these videos will be shown to the general public, so I might have time to improve them if no other project fills my plate. jsteacy, I prefer to use the "image sequence" export function from LightUp. I then used VideoMach 4 and the XviD codec to convert this .tga sequence to a video small enough to upload to YouTube (around 300 MB, quantizer 2.00).
