thanks! textures are directly from sketchup. Thats why i like maxwell - no hard texture preparing before render.

I really like it too mate! Though I'd have probably put more polys in the foreground shaping to smooth it a bit!
Example of what I mean!

Thanks Richard for your comments! Thats a nice example image buddy, the idea of using the terrain shape as a low poly triangulated mesh is to get a more abstract feeling...

Wow, what an amazing model!! Just fantastic.
Makes me mad how these lovely old buildings are left to decay and then knocked down for an estate of bland houses as is usually the case. At least your model is an everlasting record of how it used to look

Very nice, Richard.
One mistake though...something is missing...your reflection in the mirror while taking this photo of the bathroom.
Cheers!

I'm rather short mate! lol
Thanks Ken.
I used a number of point-lights in Thea, with varying colours, to light the ceiling. Using coloured lights to add different tones helps to take away from the clinical feel of the renders... I think..

Is it as easy to use as it appears?
Sure it is! That is its first quality! Second is the speedy of result!
Alas all that has a cost!
Yeah, I saw the price tag...unless I win the lottery, it's out of the realm of possibility for me. The demo videos make it look slick, and at that price it should be, but who knows what all went into making those videos (kinda like the commercials for cancer treatment centers we have here, with the small print at the bottom stating "results not typical").
