That's a nice house. I would love to own one of those. This is my 80sqm apartment, I used to live here... now I live in a 8sqm bedroom. [image: home.jpg]

Well, they're not renders from SketchUp or some render programme, but they're ingame screens of Gta: San Andreas... Textured version: [image: 90687349rf9.jpg] [image: 65710140ko1.jpg] [image: 71061479il4.jpg] [image: 38266067aw4.jpg] Had to post this [image: 12955906ks0.jpg]

Interesting design. Like a stadium. Hope there's a football pitch in the center! Seriously it is interesting to find out how such a space is perceived and used by the intended tenants and community.

Thanks Ridix I modelled them onto the the drawing as no features are painted. The mouth and all other flat coloured areas on the face are seperate fabric pieces. They're modelled merely for reference on what eventually becomes the template. (he's 6m in length) I did attempt drawing his fingers, but my skills are sorely lacking at present to be able to create a design that can be translated to an adequate 2d fabric pattern. But there is more experimentation on using basic curved sketchup shaped to see what happens to them when they're flattened out. It's all good.

Tom, Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, the camera angle is quite drastic but I really needed to get the wall into the image in full and add enough other existing detail for the client to really get a good feel as to how this big mural will affect the space. I will be reposting soon as the changed the image they want to use and I have updated the lighting as well. Hopefully I can get the new image done tuesday. Scott

Yeah, you probably went for uncrompressed jpgs, very senseible for normal use. If you want to post them on the forum you can easily compress them in PS, not sure what version your using, but there should be a 'save for web' option in the menu, thats usually enough.

@kwistenbiebel said: Really fine work there Edson. Your progress in using render software really shows. The architecture itself is attractive and reminds me a bit of the contemporary Spanish architecture. Large scale public 'exterior rooms' etc.. I guess the climate of Argentina is similar of that of Spain, thus the parallels in approach ?... Thanks for sharing this. biebel, thanks for you comments, especially because your work has been an inspiration to me and i have been using a lot the lessons from your 2006 photoshop tut. your right about connecting my architecture with what has been done in spain for the last 20 or 30 years. i have been looking carefully to spanish architecture for years and am glad it shows. as for the climate, ours is similar to what they have in the north of spain: hot summers, cold winters, etc. however, do not move me to argentina, although i love to go to buenos aires now and them. my city is geographically and culturally almost there but still in the south of brasil. regards.

I don't know what you did differently in that last one, but I like it. The room has "depth"

Neat posts. Perhaps you can change the direction of the wood grain to go parallel to the long sides of beams etc.
