I did a quick style builder too, just to see how it looks like.
Yes, it is not the best result, but could be used with drawings that will change.
I attach it, just in case someone could find it useful.

Does anyone own a dashed line style (made with style builder)?

did you see this? http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=322&t=46122
Yes I did but still can't manage to perforate the mesh. Should I use reflection, displacement or both?
I really can't figure out how to render this: a perforated metal mesh.
I have a curved mesh (created with Soap Skin & Bubble plugin), and I need to render this with a perforated metal material. I downloaded a .vismat perforated material and it looks great but its shadows don't.
Could someone help me to understand how to apply the material to the mesh in order that the shadow are "perforated" too??
Thank you.
I'm gonna do a newbie question:
Can anyone tell me how to set a colored glass in Maxwell Render Plugin (Free version)?
I've got in SU a window done with red set with 50% opacity, but if i select Glass attributes in Maxwell plugin material settings it becomes dark (black) in the rendered view...
I know, in Components window in Sketchup I can select "Near models" and it finds me all the downloadable models. But there aren't all the models of my project area. instead, if I open Google Earth and select to load 3D models, all the area is covered by models.
Is there a way to download these models, or import them in sketch up in order to modify them?
Or, is there a way in Google Earth to misure models high?

I finally had a few minutes to give my suggestion a try. It seems to have worked reasonable well considering I spent almost no time on it. Does it look something like what you have in mind? Or did Peter's results suit better?
Edited to add, it might have been better if I had chosen Wireframe for the part that was to become dashed. As it is there are some lines missing.
I should also note that before exploding the SU viewport, one must render in Vector so the edges are selectable and treated like lines in LO.
definitely perfect.
Thank you!
Hello everyone,
do you know if is there a way to show (with dashed lines) what's in the upper part of a section cut?
I mean: if I'm cutting the ground floor, in order to show the floor plan, is there a way to show the first floor "dashed"?
