      Something different. Modeled the house from a vintage floor plan. Scattered grass, rendered with Twilight. Minor post in Affinity Photo. 😎

        It's a real shame TwiLight isn't still developed. It is such a robust rendering engine.

        Nice render. Maybe some nice texturing or bump on the fascia/soffit would help break up the uniform appearance.

          @Rich-O-Brien Thanks Rich. I’ll keep using Twilight as long as it keeps working on my machine. 😬 Have a bump map on the fascia but I suppose I turned it down a bit to low. My eyeballs aren’t what they used to be. 😎

              Hi Rich,

              Wondering if you could help me with Twilight Render. Researching who developed it your name kept popping up. Not sure if you have contact with the original developer or if you can point me in the right direction.

              I've been using twilight for over 10 yrs super bummed they are gone. I own the licenses to Pro and all the plugins, but I had to do a new install on a new drive and I can't activate them now. I did get Twilight working on Sketchup 2025. I still have my old drive with everything unlocked, I've been attempting to reverse engineer my activation code. Do you have any thoughts on how I could unlock this on my new drive install?

              Thank you πŸ™

                @simulat

                Unfortunately, I only have professional email addresses for the guys at TwiLight. I'm sure deciding that TwiLight was end of life was a very hard decision for them. I hope they are enjoying the freedom!

                Without the source code you are fighting an uphill battle I'm afraid. There are other affordable render engines you could migrate to.

                  Ah ok, yeah that's all I have too, is the Admin email. It bounces back now. I wish they had released the activation tool when they shut down for those of us that still use it.

                  Thank you

                    I'm developing an affordable alternative for Twilight: https://sketchucation.com/plugin/2677-rayscaper. I'd love to hear your thoughts if you've tried it yet. Even if you think it sucks, it's valuable input for me on how to improve.

                    Cheers,

                      One of the biggest improvements will take a while to implement, multiple presets are going to be invaluable when you push the fast and easy aspect. Looking forwards to the next build. Twilight was incapacitated by the win-doze tech who flattened the win-doze install. I can get twilight but NOT the denoise and render as texture tool. Frustrating as hell.

                        I am missing twilight too.

                        I hope sketchup diffusion will get better for a quick render inside sketchup
