Thanks Tig but I need to ask about SOP, in my world that is "Standard Operating Procedure". Probably not the same definition in this context.

Just your basic 2x4 suspended ceiling, plain panels, nothing special.

    • RE: Ceiling grid, generator

I tried Windowizer3 (free) worked ok but you need to be very specific in the length and width of your ceiling. I tried a 20'x10' area adjusted the rows and columns to 5x5, the result was close, on the 4' sides it measured 3'11 11/16", and on the 2 foot sides it measured 1'11 11/16". Usable, yes, but if yout have an odd, sized/shaped area, the plugin will put the exact number of columns and rows you select and the panels will not measure close enough. It will not place a partial panel in place. And it will not allow other than whole numbers, 4 yes 4.5 no.
I can see use for its intended purpose though, but I make my own windows and frames.
      Thanks for the suggestion mitcorb

    • Ceiling grid, generator

Revisit, does anyone here have a script to create a grid ceiling?
Something that would generate a 3D "tee" grid?

I apparently already set permissions for everyone but the creator owner will not change, I am sure it is a windows thing I really don't need to know.

What did I do wrong? I just downloaded and installed cleanup 3.1.9 and latest ttlib 2.6 I open the model and run the plugin, The screen goes gray, and a long gray box appears with no options to select from. The ttlib file goes into the compatibility files folder, I think that is the problem. I cannot move in back into the regular plugins folder

    • Image on curved surface

I have been wanting to make a custom coffee cup with a logo on it.
I tried to project an image onto it, which sort of worked. I need to tweak the size of the image to project, to get it right after about 10 tries I gave up.
Is there a plugin that will do this?

    • Plugin manager question

I just installed a plugin manager, (not sure which one if there are more than one)and I have a question. I made a special folder in the SU directory, I put some plugins in it, it seems to work fine, my SU start time is far better, and the rb in this folder don't even show their icons on the workspace until I load them, great! less clutter, more drawing room. I have one plugin however that left icons in the workspace, and even still worked when I clicked the start icon, what's up with that?, The plugin in question us Su2KT the Kerkythea exporter.
This is not a big issue but I am curious.

    • RE: Color schemer

OK I made a color scheme on Kuler, downloaded the ase file, (I don't have a program to open an ase file, not buying PhotoShop). There are some scripts that reportedly work with gimp, but there is a lot of things to make it work, for conversion from ase to gpl. Download python 2.5, run this download this, etc, etc. There was one app that looked good, complete and ready to run. Opened it and imported an ase file, it crashed, twice, deleted it. Back to square 1, do I used my color picker (jcpicker)on kuler. Picked all 5 colors, wrote down the rgb for all five, opened SU painted my model, great. But there has to be a better way to do this.

    • Color schemer

Time for me to bug you plugin gurus again, I am color scheme challenged, I can't tell what color goes with what color. I use a freeware program that will give me 6 colors, from a sample that supposedly go together. More options would be nice. I cannot use this in a sketchup model because of the shading and textures, so I take my sample from the materials pallette swatch.

Anybody have any ideas how to make this work?

    • RE: Remote viewing of Sketchup sessions in real time??

Skype is free user to user, you have a computer, she has a computer, you get skype, connect to her, done.

Sorry about the short and to the point reply, just the way it came out.
I have not tried Skype to do what you want, but if my man Gaieus, says it works it probably does.

To recieve replies via email you need to tick the "Notify me when a reply is posted" box on the bottom of your screen, below the preview and submit buttons. Under options, do this before you hit submit, otherwise you have to edit your post and do it then.
