Oli, I've just heard Thea is having troubles with png's in general and a fix is in the works...also there is a separate issue with SU's material editor changes in transparency and color, which my trees rely on heavily to work as well as they do. Sure hope this gets resolved!

RE: Another rainy day...
Well geez
, thanks a bunch! And yeah, next down day I'm gonna go searching for some peeps and cars with more detail. Here's a revised DWC base on some kind comments over on the Twilight forum...and a new summer scene (I didn't get the level of "the gloomy is about over" that I wanted in the DWC so will redo when I get time). More C&C please...?

RE: A couple new DWC's...
First off, thanks for all the kind comments and interesting crits...very helpful: I was thinking I'm finally on the way to something, glad to hear it's not just me.
Dean, you win! Cincy's the city...pick up your prize (those foreground trees) here: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=26618
Allen, please explain "repetitive"...I really want to understand this, thanks.
I'm seein' the comments about the cottage not really being rural, and the focus not being obvious: 'cause it's true...afraid I was just throwing together stuff I'd built to see how the new trees and new spherical skys work and work together, plus practicing the technique. The real focus for me, I guess, was the integration...?
Here's how the last one was built:

...in a little bit different style: some gritty C&C requested, please?
(BTW can you identify the city in the second one? :`)

RE: New 2.5D+ tree set is now available...
Thanks, Guys...you're quite welcome.
Hey, Edson...thanks for reminding me: I promised you a poplar nearly 2 years ago, huh? Well, until now I didn't have a handle on how to make a tall skinny tree (it was actually thinking about this problem that got me on the road to these 2.5D"+" constructions, thank you very much :`) Anyway, here's my first Lombardy:

Thank you, Edson...and yes, part of the new bundle.

Red...I'll guess that Maxwell doesn't support face-me's: but if you explode them once a scene is setup then they should work fine(?). Of course, you'll have to have to save a different model for each scene (or don't save after export?).
Hopefully someone who knows Maxwell will jump in here, 'cause I assume the procedure will be the same for any renderer that doesn't work "inside" SU...?

RE: New 2.5D+ tree set is now available...
Thanks, Guys...aaah: the chair :`) Mike, it's merely a compositional element...but also an emotional device: a personification trick harking back to my MFA days and images (and so, a grin for me). If I put in several, and maybe a croquet set as well, then there's a story being told.

New 2.5D+ tree set is now available...
...here's a couple of free sucker samples so you can see how they work (my thanks again to Solo for hosting my little trees...thanks Pete http://solosplace.com/Tomsdesk.aspx )

RE: Apartment homwork.
Nice start! Now learn how to hide the edges of the dishrack pngs and soften the edges of the sink. (You also might want to sweep the floor :`)

Hmmmm...evidently you didn't pause, rewind, then frame-step-forward enough :`)
(I will note the original post, thanks, Eric.)

RE: Youth and Women's Leadership Center (Rio de Janeiro, Brasil)
Thanks for the plug, Buddy, and yes I did notice you did some alterations...it's something I do all the time: part of the vast functionality of my little creations :`)
And again: your work and images are to me serene and classically beautiful! I get a grin every time.

Dishsoap ad...
Got this email this morning:
Here is a link to one of a series of the best advertisements ever made. Honestly. It's awesome..http://www.m2film.dk/fleggaard/trailer2.swf
Warning: made for TV, but has some glimpses of exposed breasts.
(Background info for some of us: Just across Germany 's northern-most border with Denmark you'll find an incredible superstore called Fleggaard in Krusaa, Denmark . Fleggaard Holding A/S, through its subsidiaries, markets electronic appliances, specializing in selling televisions and radio sets. There, you can also find everything else you need - cases of wine, tubs of gummii bears, industrial strength dishwashing soap - at prices 30% cheaper than you'll find in Denmark. It is Denmark 's Costco, packaged as a German loophole.)
