Makes me mad how these lovely old buildings are left to decay and then knocked down for an estate of bland houses as is usually the case. At least your model is an everlasting record of how it used to look 👍

Been devoting a lot of my time trying to keep the old place going during this hellish lake-effect Winter here, but have been working on a collection of "one-of-a-kind" vehicles when I get the chance. A lot of them are unfinished but am thinking about posting some of them here anyhow.

Your work continues to impress, simply incredible.

Thanks Richard, the hardest thing for me is to age a model and make it look authentic, over here most aged stone (especially sand stone) is almost black. Maybe I'll play about and see what can be done.

umm...yeah, sure looks rushed. What took you probably 20 minutes would have taken me about six months (and it still wouldn't come close to yours)

Yes Simon it is comfy, and damn big, but when you are on unlimited speed autobahns it is rather handy to be sitting astride a freight train. I'm considering shipping it back to Australia when I move, but being comfortable traveling at speeds in excess of 220kph suggests I might not hold onto my Drivers license long in a country whose top speed is 110kph unless out in the back of beyond where it jumps to a blistering 130kph.

Steve, it's a wonder we didn't bump into each other, I spent 88/89 traveling overland to Europe from Australia and then back, so I was in the states for several months in 89. Great trip on one of my favourite bikes. Yamaha XV1000 Midnight Special. I don't have any digital photos of that bike but add some saddlebags and assorted other rough and ready travels bits and pieces to this and you'll get the picture.
