Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. But you guys seem to know a lot about dogs. I was cleaning out Toby's kennel the other day and found this under his mattress.Doggy.jpg

should i broach the subject with him or just put it back under the mattress and pretend I did not see it. πŸ˜•

I keep my drawing window slightly narrower than my screen and leave the additional windows outside. They stay there unless inadvertently closed.

That has to be about the single best tip I have seen. It is like working in ACAD with the properties dialogue box open. I was fully amazed when I hit 'save toolbar position' closed SU and opened it up again and the flyouts were still in same position πŸ‘

I added a little more to my previous post.

"You still never answered why the need for assault rifles and armor piercing rounds, or is it to stage a coup as you hint towards?"
There is no hint about it, they start going door to door trying to take guns. They will have to kill me and my entire family more than half the state of PA and a lot of people all over the rest of the country to do it.
I have worked hard my whole life for everything I have. I am responsible and will be damned if they are going to take any of my guns of any make or model.

What can I say..........but I am so glad to live where I do. I wonder if the families of those children worked hard all there lives for what they have? or sadly.....had.

Think you will be pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to get around the basics of Sketchup.
You have a great advantage that you have worked in cad, you have a good understanding of how things go together in the real world. Which is actually a really big thing.

Great to see such talent with such sophistication.

Young talent is cool, check out this kid, I know the clip looks like it was shot with an aubergine, but nobody knows how this unedited version got out only an hour from being shot. There is edited versions of Jack vidgen on youtube.

"As for weapons on military bases, well that is easy. Most of the time soldiers do not carry weapons, the weapons are stored in the armoury, a very well protected site that would be impossible for the average soldier to break into. As for the block being absent, well that's a new one on me as we used to store weapons complete and ready to go for ranges etc"

Just curious, my experience was not with the US military but with the Australian, New Zealand, Brit's Etc, so I incorrectly made an assumption. But I am curious, In most domestic training environment we do have our weapons in our personal lockers with the breach block held in the armory so we can easily access the weapons for parade, training, cleaning, handling etc.
What state of readiness are your weapons in for these purposes? (breach block deficient)?
I am assuming that this difference is because unlike the US, components to activate such weapons are available trough civilian sources unlike most other advanced Nations. I am not making any particular point here just curious.[/size]

For the record, I had a friend who was one of the soldiers killed so I take it personally when a liar like you uses this type of low-down-dirty lie to further your agenda. Try doing a little research before you post these types of stupid blurbs, I thought you were smarter that this.

I think most people know that general service weapons on any domestic army camp are without a breach block, but MP'S DO carry active, charged weapons.

I find it very strange that you would point out your right to subjectivity in this matter ignoring the many who find the death of 20 grade one children and their teachers repugnant and vile.
But, it seems just about everyone else on this thread at least tries to be objective offering arguments and views based on logic.

I do not think any posts on this site that I have noticed have stooped to call someone a liar, especially for no good reason, that I can see.

"we need more guns to save us from guns".............The relevance of that stupid, ill conceived concept easily resonates with me.

Lets not bring logic and rational argument into this though πŸ˜’

Australia's Port Arthur Massacre occurred in 1996 where 35 people were killed with an automatic weapon. The Government moved fast to ban all automatic weapons by a "buy back scheme" automatic weapons were cut up and sold for scrap. There was bleating from our gun ownership groups. Well it happened anyway. Funny, but the sky did not fall in the the weather remained acceptable, no famine,or military coupe, that was 16 years ago.

"guns don't kill people, people kill people" that 'ism seems to sum up the stupidity of the US gun lobby, redneck wonderland.

      "People with guns kill people"

For the record i own a BSA CF2 22/250 and a Beretta SV10 Perennia III

"Root cause" what is that exactly? and what are your plans to solve it?

Broken people are always going to exist. Having access to automatic and semi automatic weapons with large magazines is the issue. The best that could have happened in this sad scenario is that if he was limited by a bolt action with a resultant massive reduction in these sad deaths.

The cost of not driving cars and trucks? well the whole of society and commerce would need a re-think.

The cost of banning assault type weapons? A few readneck do not get the chance to blow the hell out of 44 gallon drums on the weekend

      Simple cost/benefit analysis.

      "knee jerk reaction"??????..........

    • Glass thickness for rendering

Hi all, I am doing a model which requires a rendering of a close up of an incandescent lamp/globe. Does the outer glass bulb require a thickness to the glass for acurate rendering or will a skin do?

    • Is there a "non uniform scale" plugin?

Hi all, the attached images are of the top of a cello 'scroll' I created with 'follow me' I am fairly happy with it but in the interest of accuracy I would like to taper the whole thing so it is more true to life. Is there a taper, or "non uniform scale" type plugin that could acheive this?Cello pers.pngCello rear.png

    • RE: Modelling advice sought

Hi Massimo, thanks for the heads up. Downloaded soap skin & bubble, what a great plugin! Problem is I tried to us it on my Cello sound board it did not work, with the resulting message (see image)I have tried the plugin on a simpler shape and it works well. The outline of the Cello front board I believe is closed as i only have to draw one line within it to become a face. So i am assuming it is actually closed. Any ideas? πŸ˜•

    • Modelling advice sought

Hi all, I have decided to try some more organic modelling in SU so decided to do a cello. I have attached an image. I am trying to do the front sound board, but am a bit unsure how to progress.
I intend to make the sound board 'bulge' by drawing polygons on it and using the sculpt brush to make the 'bulges' and then smooth, and to cut out the two scroll cutouts after that operation by a pseudo Boolean operation (intersect faces) Thing is, I also want to give the soundboard some thickness say a couple of mm. Can anyone comment on my plans and offer advice on the best way to progress. πŸ˜’

      Thank you πŸ˜„
