      Dear Shaheen,

It would be useful to Newbies if you could put your tutorial into .pdf format so that it could be easily downloaded and used for study.

      Thanks for your efforts.

      Kind regards,
      Bob

    • Making a ground with diffrent levels ( for beginners )

hi every body . salam to all

I've prepared a lesson for an Arabic forum, and her i translate it into English , i hope that beginners will find it easy ... oh i forgot excuse me for my English .. so lets start

      1. this is an autocad picture for the ground that I'm going to make . the first one is for the site while the other is for the site with the surrounding houses

      http://www.m3mare.com/up/uploads/01fb329be6.jpg

      1. be careful to make all lines pollylines from -- modify >> object >> polyline , as shown in the following picture:

      http://www.m3mare.com/up/uploads/d0e8d098bc.jpg

      1. now import the cad file to scetchup .. from - File >> import

      http://www.m3mare.com/up/uploads/76438e4974.jpg

i hope u have enjoyed the lesson

      1. as we can see contours lines are in different levels , but if ther r not .. move them above each other

      http://www.m3mare.com/up/uploads/5c9e755451.jpg

      1. now the most important tool is (Sandbox tools) .. but u need to activate this tool - Window >> preferences

      http://www.m3mare.com/up/uploads/ccfbbaad24.jpg

      1. after that a new list appear choose .. Extensions >> Sandbox tools

      http://www.m3mare.com/up/uploads/e0125a3489.jpg

      1. if the icons haven't appeared go to .. View >> toolbars >> sandbox tools

      http://www.m3mare.com/up/uploads/28aa4391e0.jpg

      1. now select all of the lines and press on (form contours) icon as shown , the gorund will appear as in the bottom of the picture

      http://www.m3mare.com/up/uploads/aa883e5d90.jpg

      1. now how to make the roads ?? select the road from the plan and click on Drape icon then click on the blue box

      http://www.m3mare.com/up/uploads/20d29972f2.jpg

      1. now u can hide contours lines from layer manager:

      http://www.m3mare.com/up/uploads/1bc7a170ec.jpg

      1. now bring the second plan (the one with the houses ) under the site .. make every building as a group , as in step no. 9 drape the houses then move all of the groups for its location on the site:
