    • RE: Win Vista and older ACAD versions?

I had to do something similar on a friends laptop with vista and acad 2006 (i didn´t believe it was that old !!!!). While doable, i wish it could be avoided. In order to get that laptop up to a reasonable speed (it was sloooooow when i got it), i had to disable/uninstall, a lot of crap that came with vista. IMO vista is not worth it. I´ll buy a faster computer so i can run my apps faster, not to get a resource hog like vista to barely run. Many pc manufacturers are now offering "downgrades" (kind of an upgrade if you ask me....) to xp for no cost.
Just my opinion though... (i now live in happy happy osx land, vista gave me the perfect excuse to switch.... 😄)

    • RE: [Plugin] ComponentReporter+.rb

The old component reporter seemed to work on osx, the new one gives me this error. The model is saved.

    • RE: Clipping plane

How big is your model, i mean what area does it cover. As the model grows in extension, you gradually loose the ability to zoom in into details without the nasty clipping. A workaround is to break your model into smaller sub units, xref them and work on them independently. You could also have some geometry far off the drawing origin. If zoom extents does not work correctly, maybe that´s your problem

    • RE: Styles and Scenes

Uncheck "styles and fog" checkbox on every scene, so style settings are not saved per scene, and instead can be applied globally.

    • Slow ruby plugins on osx

Has anyone else noticed that rubies like makefaces, and the sandbox tools run veeery (like 1/10th slower) slow on osx. I work on a peecee and on a mac, and they do run slow.

My peecee is a p4, with 1GB of ram, about 3 years old. My mac is a macbook with a core2duo 2Ghz, and 2GB of ram. Certainly, my mac is faster than the peecee.

      I run osx 10.4.10

    • Scroll wheel unresponsive on osx

Sometimes, when working, the scroll wheel stops zooming, pan and orbit do work, zoom does not. The only way to bring it back is to manually select the zoom tool, zoom in or out, and the scroll works again. Really random, no other action that triggers this behavior.

      Hola,

solo debe cambiar la localizacion en un archivo nuevo, guardarlo, y en preferencias, utilizarlo como "default template".
