Hi Guys,
Here's an amazing video of some very clever 3D Video Projection on a building
It's 7min long but stick with it especially after 3min mark

well i withdraw my critique and congratulate you on an excellent model.
Lots of intricate detail work around the fascias that deserve a mention.
the render is impressive too.
Hi,
Nice model and very nice render. My only critique is the roof, are those tiles or is it corrugated? If it is corrugated then i've just put my foot in it!!
Hi Majid,
For me, what you're attempting is very difficult. You'll be tapering a set thread height at the top of the shank to nearly no thread at the bottom. Also you're attempting this on a tapering shank too.
This hurt even thinking about it
Best of luck with it as it is an excellent modeling challenge. I'm also gonna try it over the next few days and see how things go.
That's brilliant news and well done Bert and Thom.
I must have missed that post on dimensioning, that's a neat trick.
Thanks for the heads up Gaieus
Hi,
There's lots of tutorials out there regarding making screws but the problem using the tool is the twist that occurs to the thread as it spirals up (or down the shank)
Here's a start that gives reasonable results

Hope it helps

Hi,
Nice model, and the render is nice too. The tree at the far end looks out of place? Other than that it looks good to my untrained eye
That kid's got serious talent, but wait til Ben 10 catches his eye!!
just when you thought it was safe to come out of the warehouse

is it modelled in SU? It's very impressive
EDIT - I just checked out your site and see it's a bit more than playing around. That's an inspiring site. I could pick your brains for hours
Here's the result on my Desktop
Dell Dimension 9150
Intel Pentium D 3.40Ghz
2GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 7900GS

Bit of an improvement over my Laptop but not as impressive as Gaeius' new machine
Have fun with it
Here's my result on an old laptop that's slowly dying
Dell Latitude D400
Intel Pentium M 1700Mhz
1GB RAM
Intel 82855 GME Graphics Controller

hi taylan,
welcome aboard and don't forget to post your model
Hi,
Did you read the instructions on installing on this manual?
http://www.scribd.com/doc/1845643/VRay-for-SketchUp-Manual
Also on the website forum http://forum.asgvis.com/index.php?Itemid=90&topic=3555.0
there' is this statement:
"We now install our render spawner and other stuff to Common Application data folder which is...
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ASGvis on XP (note that Application Data is a hidden folder )"
Both very interesting articles and exciting developments. But implementing this new energy source would take time and people want things now these days.
If taken in baby steps, such as new mobiles, laptops, GPS systems etc all been fitted with the technology. Your house fitted with a wireless docking station to charge the current necessities to allow slow transition from wired to wireless. Eventually as you acquire newer TVs, Fridges etc, your wireless station is upgraded to cater for heavier electrical loading.
On a more greener note here something that's just around the corner and will have big impact to both households and environment
Nice, looking forward to finished article.....where's the terrain located?
Hi,
I work for an aircraft maintenance company and the most damage come from the rare breed called 'ground crew baggage handlers'. The amount of damage these guys cause is inbelievable. It is not going to affect flight but make my job a pain!
Few years ago though I saw a plane which flew through a severe hailstorm. I think it was an easyjet and there's pics somewhere on the web
There's one for the 'Duh' Thread.
Thanks BTM
Hi Marc,
I see your problem is with MS Office and not SU7, and i'm not too familiar with Word. But i'm sure someone will know the trick you need to get the right result.
I agree with Gaieus with the GIMP solution. It'd be the easiest option and offer alot more flexibility than Word.
I know that Word allows you to 'bring to front' or 'send to back' an image when you right click. Also when you double click an image more options for layout are displayed but my understanding of that is a little fuzzy.
