Yes, I figured that out and used Firefox which doesn't do the HTML thing on spaces.

Now the files come out with dates on. I found Fredos instructions (see attached image) and renamed the folders accordingly as the names were differently written on mine but that just gave me an error on opening SketchUp about it now being able to load the plugins, at which point I gave up and trashed them. There is some problem on Mac with unzipping these particular files and I don't know why. I unzip stuff all the time without the file names getting messed up like this.

    • RE: [Plugin][$] RoundCorner - v3.4a - 31 Mar 24

      I'm on a Mac 10.6.8 and I can't install this plugin.

I've looked above to see what's happening with other people but can't see what I'm doing wrong. I have Fredoscale, that works. I clicked "yes" when the installation wanted to overwrite something.

I'm downloading the Zip file, copying it to the folder in macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 9/Plugins and unzipping it there as per the instructions.
I've done the same with LibFredo6 and that doesn't seem to work either as far as I can tell.

When extracted from the zip file using Safari the spaces in the file names were replaced with 20% etc - see image - which probably messes things up so I tried again using Firefox to download and reinstalled so now the file names look right but even after restarting SketchUp the Plugin is not there. Can anyone help. Thanks.

Could someone please tell me how to use this plugin in sketchup? I put the file in the plugins folder but I do not see a "UV tools" context menu. Please let me know.

      Thanks,

      Justin Spencer

      Hi spence,
Someone else posted this issue using a Mac system. I am actually not sure if the plugin works at all on Mac. Has anyone got it to work on Mac?

Yes, the trick on a Mac is finding the right ruddy plug in folder.

Go to Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/plugins and stick your ruby script in there.

Ignore the plugins folder in the SketchUp 7 package in Applications, it's just there to confuse you.

I've just tried it on one object, a complicated vase that already had the texture badly applied by projection. Worked fine. Texture a little woolly looking but UV projection correct. I will experiment with the textures to see how it works.

      Great stuff Whaat!

    • RE: Leopard hang fix

Just installed it. You total star! I've lived with is bug so long I've got used to it.

I'm usually just grateful if SketchUp doesn't crash. It's a great program but massively unstable on Mac OS which is a huge shame.

Your patch has speeded up performance on big files amazingly too.

    • RE: Editing Texture Images

Doesn't work for me. After I've edited my texture in photoshop and save it SketchUp does not find the new version but uses the old one. It doesn't matter where I try to save it or whether I just use the default place Sketchup comes up with which seems to be some temporary folder I cannot find on my hard drive.
