Hi thomthom, I found those helpers after I had done the installs. I didn't think to just delete everything I had done and use the install helpers.

Could those links be made sticky at the start of the Forum.

Maybe there could be a Plugins Getting Started sticky header.

    • Extrude angle around curve?

      Here is the picture:

      http://gettheworkdone.net/3Dprinting/SketchUp/extrudeangleoncurve.png

I have a line drawn around the curve using the Curviloft pencil (I think that is what it is).

Now how do I extrude an angle around the curve? Follow Me does not like curves.

TIG I can not follow what you are asking. "its icon"??

Have you checked that you have FULL security permissions to the Plugins folder and its contents?
Right-click context-menu on its icon, Properties > Security > Edit...

      Here is my Plugin menu.

There is no 'Compatibilities Files...' in the Plugins menu.

      Yup!!

I have the Curviloft toolbar and the Tools/Fredo6 Collection menu Curviloft menu item.

They do "work" in my limited testing.

    • RE: Making Holes, how not to??

Well thanks Dave R for the time you spent helping me with this.

Of course I had to change the model you worked on and ended up with more holes.

Which Solid Inspectorshowed me but I was not able to manually make the repairs.

So I purchased the SuSolid Plugin. Wow what a tool that is, it works so well.

I keep trying to understand SketchUp and work these problems out but so far, for my two biggest ones using a Plugin was my answer.

Well thanks again Dave and I am definitely using the things you showed me. πŸ˜„

    • RE: Chamfer against a Chamfer??

Well I played around with the model for a couple of days trying to manually do the chanfers with mixed success.

So thought I'd try the Fredo6 Round Corner Plugin. I had a heck of a time getting that to work but eventually I managed and now it is working great.

So once again thanks every one for the help.

    • RE: How to remove part of a Circle?

Well I could not get "Intersect Faces>With Selection" to work, which isn't surprising it has taken me two or three days to get most things to work.

But I did have a relatively easy answer.

I removed/deleted the hexagon and the hole then redrew the hexagon and pushed it to it's depth and then redid the circles drawn on the hexagon face and pushed the circle to the bottom.

Now a funny thing was from the Top view I could see through the bolt holes to my background but when viewed from the bottom there were no circles/holes!

So I drew the circles on the bottom and pushed the holes through.

Well there ya go, learning more every day. My 3D printer "should" ship around the end of March so hopefully I'll have some good models to print by then.

      Thanks for the great help,

    • How to remove part of a Circle?

Damm I am having to think six steps ahead of where I am working in order to do things πŸ˜•

I had a bolt hole in my project so then I wanted to recess the bolt head.

      http://gettheworkdone.net/images/sketchup/bolthead.png

Now how do I remove the circle down to the bottom of the bolt head?

I can see where I should have done this at least 6 steps before I made the original circle (hole).

Thanks, so far all of the help has been right on and I am starting to get working with SetchUp.

Lots of problems extracting from the .zip plus Adobe cannot open the documentation.

I finally got the extraction but Adobe is still Not Responding.

What is Solid Inspector telling me?

Sorry I am new to SketchUp but really having problems with making Solids.

      http://gettheworkdone.net/images/sketchup/SolidTools1.png

What do I do to fix the problems?

What specifically do the colors represent?

    • RE: How to Push/Pull an angled shape?

Thanks everybody, this is so cool.

I was afraid that was a dumb question but there sure were some intelligent answers.

Hey Johnny (Jean Lemire), I hope you do not mind if I hack (reuse) your skp tutorial layout.

I see using it for my personal reference library, but also I could use it here in this thread to explain how I ended up doing this particular step.

It is so easy to follow your layout. Of course I'll need to learn how to add and remove tabs but that will come with usage.

      Thanks again everyone.

    • RE: [Plugin] SmartPushPull v0.26 (05 nov)

      Which version is the latest?

The top one would be logical but the bottom one has version that is much higher than the second one.

I am going to guess at the bottom one.

      But a big Thanks,
