    • RE: [Plugin] UVTools 0.2 Pro (Beta) (Updated for SU6)

For the Crash on SU 8 you have to experiment with this steps also:

      @olishea said:

use the paint bucket tool to roughly apply the texture to your object.....it will not look correct (dont worry). now select the object (just click its surface) and go to edit>surface>uv tools>then choose cylindrical or spherical map.

should be straight forward. you can change the scale of the texture in the sketchup materials window.

Another thing, Unselect the faces that does not have the texture.

    • I hate snap!

      Snap here, snap there!
I'm trying to draw some lines on a face, but the face is near some objects. Snaps here and there every time... blue axis, green axis, midle point, outer point, twilight zone... everywhere!

Isn't a key I have to press (or a gun I have to buy) to avoid snaping and stick to the damed plane?

πŸ’š Ok. I'm less stressed now... Thanks. πŸ’š

    • Numeric Values

      Hi.
Is there any info panel (inspector if you wish) that gives the information of position, dimensions (xyz) and maybe rotation?
I want to move, scale and rotate by numbers, but the litle info panel seems only to function when drawing.

      Thanks.

    • RE: What's your beginners tip?

I'm a complete begginner, so here is my tip. πŸ’š
Sooner or later you will be using some plugins or ruby scripts.
Try one at a time, know what it does, and if it works for you, save a copy in an ordered folder.
You can always re-install the main aplication, but find again a usefull plugin may take time.

      Some feedback.
The first Ruby (Weld) aplyed before extruding its interesting but it leaves the segments (as seen with "view hidden lines" on)

And the fix broken lines seems to work great in this case.

Massimo, the option of drawing a line is still resisting me πŸ’š I'll keep practicing, but I have my first favorite ruby now. πŸ˜„

@Numbthumb. By all Kind of aplications (just an expression) im refering to vector based 2d, photo editing, video editing, audio and midi, multimedia authoring, worksheets, web authoring, some 3D. I remember a Dos batch program to make text based windows with options. πŸ’š
