Alas it does not work AT ALL!

I have removed/deinstalled some some paid plugins from one of my machines via Extension Manager and they are STILL are marked as active in Extension Warehouse.

There is no option now, as previously in Ext. Warehouse to uninstall them. Only the option INSTALL is available.

HOW ON EARTH ONE CAN DEACTIVATE paid plugins?

      Thank you in advance.

Uninstall is found in the Extension Manager.

After uninstalling from the previous version, you should be able to go to the extension in the Extension Warehouse in the new version and click Install.

I do thank you very much.
The problem is, after uninstalling the plugin via (as shown on the picture) it is not freed-up in Ext. Warehouse. Thus cannot licence it.

I have been trying to uninstall some plugins on the older machine and then trasfer them to the new one.

The max number of licence has been still marked as 3/3.

    • Transfering plugin with Licence to to a new machine

Greetings. I have purchased several plugins. I have to change the computer and deactivated them and then reactivated on the other one.
They have been purchased on Extension Warehouse (I do not think I have done it on Sketchucation Plugin Store).

I CANNOT find the way to deactivated them. Should uninstalling them from Extension Manager deactivated them on the old computer and make possible to activate them on the new one?
Thank you in advance for prompt response.

    • Saving so called Workspace (Tries/Toolboxes)

      Greetings,

I have been using Sketchup Pro on a laptop in two places.
One, with a docking station connection with three monitors attached.
      Second - the laptop alone.

It is very annoying not to get advantages of the three monitors placing the second some toolboxes and tries.

Is there any option, possibility to save their position to be used alternatively with both described above configuration?

I think changing registry setting is a bit risky.

      Thank you in advance.

    • Extension Menu Customization

      Greetings,

Using many extensions for Sketchup causes a huge amount of entry in Extension menu.
Mouse scrolling is not available within the menu. To find the proper item one has to keep pressing a tiny arrow at the bottom or at the Tom of the list.

There is no alphabetical order there.

My question is whether there is a way to either organize/group the menu items or remove some from the list.

Is there any plugin, and yes one more 😲 to the list to help a user to manage the list of plugins in the extension menu?

Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

This extension looks amazing, but the cost/subscription model puts it out of consideration for me (given that I would only use it on occasion). I can see where it would have huge value for an office where it's needed in support of an existing workflow across platforms.

I would consider it at half the cost for a permanent license.

They have offered a launch sale, 99 $.
Perhaps, I hope, they are aware of an exaggerated price and above all a subscription plan

Skimp looks awesome but so does Transmutr. Really looking forward to see how they both turn out.

I hope Skimp proxies can work with Thea, please?!

      Hullo,

      Skimp 175$/year!
Transmutr one-time 69$ plus an integration with the next Skatter.

Soon a pair of slippers for 39$/year - three washings included.

      Greetings,

I cannot make a smoove tool working on SU 2018.
Starting from scratch and editing a grid surface the Ssmoove Tools does not make any interraction with surface. A radius ans any other setting is set correctly.

There smoove pointer does not make any vertices selection, etc.

I will be thankful for any helpful suggestion.

      PS
Is there any possibility to reinstall a Sandox Plugin perhaps?

      WHAT A SHAME!!!
I have spent almost two hours on setting my toolbars trays on two displays.

What a piece of crap! The very basic customisation is completely bollocksed!
I have repaired the installation as admin, added exception of my antivirus program. In vain.
      All sucks.

      A quick method....

Note that you may have to modify camera angle and the distance of the POV to see all the "reflection".

Merci beaucoup Gilles, c’est exactement ce dont j’ai besoin.

I will digest it and make some exercises. The effect is really satisfying. At least this virtual one above.
I you do not mind I will far probably allow myself to contact you for, eventually some precision and of course proudly show you the final result of my work within SU.

You have mentioned at the beginning that this has been a quick way, what should be the 'slow' one?
Is it possible to reduce a distance between the facade and the most far point of its projection on the horizontal surface in front of it, I mean the highest point project of the elevation?

You have advised to use 0.001 scale factor, what if I use meters as units?

I am really thankful for your elucidation such well illustrated, explained.

    • RE: Anamorphic Reflection Illusion on Horisontal Surface

I am afraid it is not the effect I am aiming.

Perhaps these two images will help me to make myself understood.

      A - Cathedral
B - Projected on a horizontal the emulation of the reflection (C)-on the picture this is simple projection/rotation of A/C
      C - Flipped form/facade - 'reflection'

The goal is to reproduce the perception of C by the deformed adequately the form B (simple projection/rotation will be seen in perspective as the flatten, rotated facade and NOT as a reflection.

I have been looking for a method of conceive the form B to represent the C one as it is on the horizontal surface.

Hope it is a bit less confusing.

      Would something like this work?
      [attachment=0:1r7nd7e5]<!-- ia0 -->SlantTopDesk.png<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:1r7nd7e5]

      Hullo,

Thank you very much for your response.
Exactly, well, I think it could work in my very case.

      Here is some precision.

I am about to propose an illusion of reflection on a paved surface in front of a cathedral.
It could be perceived from a certain distance of a person placed in a central axis in front of the facade.

I am aware that it is possible to achieve the effect by some amount of manual constructions within Sketchup (a mirror of the facade and tracing some line to the elevation be projected on the plane, etc).
This way though seem to me a bit inexact. I am anxious about the most precise exactitude. The is a risk that the proposition would be put into reality.

I will appreciate any guidance of the experienced user cause I have been still not the smartest... in this room.
Thank you in advance with my best regards.

    • Anamorphic Reflection Illusion on Horisontal Surface

Greeting and Merry Christmas and Happy, Normal New Year to all of you,

I have been searching for an exact replication/presentation of a building reflection on a horisontal surface.
The effect should be perceived as an Reflection, as if in mirror, or water surface but on a mate surface of the front square.

A person standing in front of the building should see, perceived an 'Reflection’ of the facade.

I would be truly grateful for any geometric construction suggestions using Sketchup, or perhaps some useful plugin?

Hope I have managed to make myself understood.
Many thanks in advance with the repetition of my above wishes.
