      TOMOT

I think I can summarize the website you list in two words:

      Parties over.

We have all been playing a big game of Monopoly with fake money...In the end only one person wins that game. Only difference is the game was being played by everyone and unlike the board game the people that lose in the game we have been playing really do get hurt.

I hope that everyone hear can stay employed or find ways to continue living a modest life. We are all going to have to realize that we can not win the game of monopoly in real life. Work hard and enjoy your family and live within your means are true values that we will all need to return to if we are going to survive this reality check.

Aaaargh! When was that raid on Boulder scheduled?

let's just find a way to sneek Carmaks Revearse into the code and only those who need to know the secret will know how to unlock it.

Monster Zero is doing some jury rigged rigging with his efforts. I think it's only a matter of time before SU has this ability. What with Subdivide and smooth and Sketchy Physics, and many of the other third party enhancements heck we now have lighting in SU with what Adam is doing. So I think you will be ahead of the curve and ready for it when it arrives.

Now get one of the ruby programmers to create a bones and rigging plug-in and you can create your own animated cartoons.

Have you seen the knight game by Scott Lininger? You should animate these cartoon creatures in an SU gaming environment.

    • RE: How to say I love you...

Ross that made me smile. If you ever want to feel good about the world just go to a park and sit and watch people. Pay attention to the what catches their attention. Watch for them to smile. It's a beautiful thing to watch a human being smile when it's real and no one is watching ( well except for you) It's like that wonderful satisfying look someone has on their face after tasting the most delicious food. Sometime when you are in a restaurant see if you can catch someone close their eyes and have that incredible satisfied look on their face. I love to observe people and look for these moments when real happiness occurs. It gives me hope that the world will always be OK.

    • RE: [need] automatic exporting

      here is what you need:

      Free Version http://www.smustard.com/script/SceneExporter

      and Pro version $10.00

      favicon

it works great but for large files the export can take a long time

Very nice. I would like to see some people in the rendering though. It feels kind of cold or emotionless a few people might liven up the image. Just my 2cents.

have a look at the web exporter plugin You may be able to find the ruby code in there that you are looking for. Search this forum for "web exporter"

Essentially it does what you want to do but it does not creat pages it exports images (36) or (72) images from (36) or 72 camera positions created in a circle around the model.

    • RE: New function on the 3D WH, 3D VIEW

Thanks Alan That's precisely what I wanted. I'll need to research this more but I think I grasp the concept. I suppose it's possible instead of mouse over objects visible at the bottom one could create invisible slices the entire height of the image so if there were 72 images essentially slice the image area up into 72 slices and associate each slice with a separate image therefore the end user would feel as if they were manipulating the images as apposed to moving a sliding bar. that's the beauty of the web exporter is that you feel as thou you are rotating the model live.

I'll push a few flash buttons and see what I can come up with.

By the way Victor does indeed look as thou he was created a few years back.

    • RE: New function on the 3D WH, 3D VIEW

Does anyone here know of a way to create SWF files that have the same effect. IE detect where the mouse is and cycle through image files: That way we only need to have one swf file to accomplish the same effect.

Chris, and Alan I meant the Ruby that "James" made that rotates the model. This is different than the web exporter plug-in. and Who is James?

James has since come up with a new Ruby for us which spins the model on the spot,

Alan where can I get this plugin?

Also is it possible to keep use this plug-in but keep the shadows in the same location IE: I guess you would need to alter the sun location so I think I just answered my own question.

      I did this 360 view:
      http://www.nvizeon.com/360view/whc/index.html

I altered the html file created by webexporter and changed the images to ones I created by making 36 separate camera views around a circle and exporting the jpgs myself.

second to last is the winner hands down....HEHE pun intended. I would also like to see the logo by itself and the other text in a line along the bottom below the robot. Might also be interesting if the broken robot arm were holding some of the text as if it's arm fell off while it was attempting to pry the text off the card.

Lively was a 20 min program. Google programmers are encouraged to spend 20 minutes a day thinking of something new and working on it. I guess it had it's 20 minutes of fame. I downloaded it tried it and was turned off immediately.
