I remember having experienced this as well, but in SU2016 (Windows) it works as intended for me. For you it seems to reset the view when the cursor jumps, so it is not really useful as you cannot pan more than without the plugin.

RE: [Plugin] InfinitePanOrbit [Now on OSX]
Hello,
this plugin no longer works for me in SU2017. -
RE: [Plugin] Texture Resizer (1.5.6) β updated 15.05.2013
Me again... so far I found out that it appears not to be working when Make Fur by Tak2hata is also installed... however, only on my PC (Windows 7 64bit) in SU2016. With SU8 and on my laptop (also SU2016) it works! Any ideas?

RE: [Plugin] Texture Resizer (1.5.6) β updated 15.05.2013
Turns out I did not have the latest version installed because the extension warehouse still has 1.5.5. Now it just says "Processing" when I click "apply", but seems not to do anything if nothing is selected, whereas it creates resized versions of textures in a selection although it does not replaces the original ones but just adds a 0 to their names. It works in Sketchup 8, though. Could it be a conflict with another plugin?
edit: It works on my laptop... so I guess I need to figure out the difference between these two installations to find out why it's not working on my PC.

RE: Ruby Console opens automatically on startup
Yes, fortunately this extension saves the setting in an ini file, so I saw that it was modified and that debug mode was enabled.

RE: Ruby Console opens automatically on startup
Ok, I found the reason... looks like I accidently enabled the debug mode for the BGSketchup_Library plugin by Inteloide. Thanks for the idea to check the recently modified files in the plugins folder, that way I quickly found the problem!

RE: Ruby Console opens automatically on startup
Good idea! I will try that.

RE: Ruby Console opens automatically on startup
Alright, then I guess I'll have to check all extensions that have been updated recently. Thank you, let me know if you can find something out.

Ruby Console opens automatically on startup
Hello,
for several days now the ruby console opens automatically on Startup (Sketchup Make 2016). This is not really a problem, but it is kind of annoying, and I don't know why this is happening and how to make it stop. When I close it it simply reappears the next time I start Sketchup.
I don't know if it could be because of an extension, but I haven't really added many lately and I already tried disabling them...
Does anyone have an idea why this could be happening and what I could do about it?

RE: [REQ] Edge/Line from Midpoint
I know plenty of ways to do it in two or more steps, so thank you for your alternative suggestions, but the point of this thread was to ask for a way to do it in a single step.
Thanks to sdmitch, though, now I have what I wanted. Thanks a lot!

RE: [REQ] Edge/Line from Midpoint
Thanks, but that is not what I had in mind. I want do start drawing the line from the midpoint, not scale it after it was already drawn.

[REQ] Edge/Line from Midpoint
If there already is such a plugin, I was not able to find it, but I just today thought it would be great to have a line tool that would allow drawing lines from the midpoint - so you start at a point and when drawing the line in one direction from it, it gets simultaneously extended in the exact opposite direction with the same length so that the start point becomes the midpoint.
Fredo's "Tools on Surface" can do something like this for rectangle edges, but I would like to have it just for lines and, of course, not only on surfaces.
If there is such a plugin already, please tell me! It seems like such a simple and obvious idea that I'd be surprised if nobody had done it, yet.

RE: [Plugin][$] Vertex Tools
Oh, I didn't see that! And it even is on the last page of the topic... I'm sorry, I just saw it was not yet implemented and did not want to read through all 15 pages, I hope you don't mind.
Sounds great, though, I am looking forward to it.

Great looking plugin!
May I make a suggestion that may provide additional usefulness to the plugin? I have no idea how easy it would be to implement, I don't know darn thing about Ruby. How about different profiles or wave forms used to calculate the shape of the deflection? I notice that the deflection when push/pulled is very smooth, but would it be possible to get different results by selecting a "profie shape", changing the rate and direction (positive or negative displacement) of deflection change across distance selected? Pictures:

Possible? Not worth it?
As this post is now six years old and it looks like there are still only two choices for this (linear and cosine), will this possibly be added at some point? It would be great to be able to manipulate the curve myself, but the pinched shape from the image would already be a wonderful addition. I am thinking about buying the plugin and this would certainly have an impact on my decision.

RE: [Plugin] Texture Resizer (1.5.6) β updated 15.05.2013
It doesn't work in SU2016 for me... I click apply and it just clears all parameters. There is nothing in the ruby console and I do have ImageMagick installed.

RE: [Plugin] FullScreen v5.1.3 (25 April 2024)
Hello,
just a small thing, but I noticed that when I set Floating Toolbars to hidden, save the settings and enable "Retain on Start", only some of them are hidden after restarting Sketchup.

I wish something suitable for fast texturing of 'conventional' architectural objects would eventually appear inside Sketchup:
Have you tried ThruPaint?
Also, this unwrapping tool sure looks interesting. Just now I'm mostly working with ThruPaint and SketchUV, and the things I can't do directly in Sketchup I can do in Blender with the SketchUV import/export function, but your tool will be a nice addition.

RE: [Plugin] AMS Library 3.7.1b (29 May 2021)
Well there is not much more to it than I already wrote. I just use various tools, make groups and components and edit them, until the tools begin to stay highlighted in the toolbar - this happens all the time. Then, at some point, it eventually crashes when I right-click, possibly only or at least more often on groups or components. I tried to record a video of the process, but so far, I have not been able to produce a crash while recording. Maybe they are not happening as often now, but they definitely still do.

RE: [Plugin] AMS Library 3.7.1b (29 May 2021)
I'm afraid it still happens... I was just able to reproduce it two times, using only standard tools.
