This is a real stunning piece of software, i am very impressed!
I suspect this has already been asked and has gone right over my head, if so i apologise.
I have to make a "fly-by" video for a uni project soon, could I make a video on site with the coded paper already on site and then use this program to implement the model onto it?
I'm really struggling to find a way of doing this convincingly, and this looks like a viable answer.
Pav
Granted, but you're forced to move to the Arctic due to "work commitments".
I wish I were a little bit taller...
Pav
Welcome Michael,
Excellent work, I must say, hope to be seeing more of your models in the future.

... and about 6 pints.
How dare you insinuate i had 6 pints.
There were at least 13.
Glad to hear you are on the mend Solo

This is pure genius mike!
Can't wait to hear how you get on with the lens.

So you made a tutorial for people who use SU but aren't on this site but can download it from 3d warehouse.
It all becomes so much clearer now.
time for bed.
Pav
awfully sorry, you've lost me again. who is it that doesn't use this site so you had to do what?
Pav
In the words of George Forman:
"i could use one of those"
Pav
Excellent work rogue!
KD, this is certainly possible in the real world, so i'm guessing it is possible in SU.

Pav
Spot on solo, as always!
The link I put forward does suggest though that if you wish to put it back into gta, it isn't a good idea as the model holds "hierarchy" and "axis" information necessary for gta to use it (i have no idea what that means)
By converting to .3ds and then importing to sketchup, you lose this information and the model becomes a "useless object", which cannot be used in gta.
Of course if this isn't the objective, solo's method is the way to go KD.
Pav
after a few minutes deciphering your cryptic post (you at no point describe the problem, or what GTAinside is, or what you have done so far yourself to try and fix your problem)
i came across this, which is hopefully useful for you.
i thought it would be a big problem finding information on this, as i assumed (first mistake) that you had done some research yourself.
i found however that just by punching in "dff" and "sketchup" into google the first result it yielded had the answer.
i do feel like i have wasted my time slightly, but never the less i hope you find it helpful.
Pav
Much appreciated, i have tried it and it was exactly what i needed.
kilgo, apologies for hi-jacking! hope this was helpful for you too!
Pav
hows this car getting on then KD? sunk any more time into it? i'd quite like to see the finished article.
Pav
what is this TIG, sounds like something i'd be interested in.
Pav
this is some fantastic sideways thinking.
thanks for the tip!
