    • RE: [Plugin] DoorMaker

      Hello all,
I'd love to be able to help but to be honest this is the only plugin I ever wrote and looking at the code now I cant remember anything about Ruby ๐Ÿ˜ณ

If anybody want to pick it up and run with it I'm more than happy for them to do so.

      Sorry.

Ignore my 'Spelling not working' message, it was Chrome not the forum.

~~In Chrome I'm not getting the spell checker comming up as I type either in the quick or regular reply windows.
Normally any misspelled word gets underlined as I type and a right click will provide sugestions

Just tried it in Firefox and its working as expected......odd~~
      Edit:
Opps its a error in the latest build of the Chrome Beta, not the forum.

Additionally there seems to be a frame around a lot of the smaller graphics:

      Hi John,
      Fantastic as always.
The 2 window shutters on the righthand building keep bugging me, they seem to be on the image instead of in the image.

I had to check your location in your profile as I could swear that the second pano you posted was taken in the UK.

That is one of the most unpleasant photos I've ever seen, I'm also quite sure you're a very nice chap despite what a large portion of my brain keeps calling you ๐Ÿ˜„

In any case, it appears you were holding your phone upside down, I've corrected it for the rest of us......

With regard to the maps, the app enables you to inform Apple of errors, have a look at this article, I went through a few things last night moving the pins around for bad locations, closed businesses etc. Its quite good.

I upgraded both my iPhone and iPad, I agree with you about the maps but its early days and the media are having a field day with APPLE FAILS!!!! stories.
Overall i'm impressed with iOS6 there's a lot more updates behind the scenes in this version and I think a lot of users are disappointed that there appears to be very few new 'bells and whistles'

      This was fun:

    • RE: Mac to PC

I have Mac (iMac, MacBook Pro, iPad etc ) at home and Windows at work, I love my Mac's but I HATE the Mac version of SketchUp. I find the Windows version much better.
Infract I have windows 7 in a Parallels VM on my iMac just to run SU.
I don't do any serious work in SU at home, if I was to then I'd get a Windows machine just for it.

    • RE: Re-thinking my Roadster

Personally I think the wheels are too big in diameter, slightly smaller with it riding slightly lower may look better. The only other thing that caught my eye was that the front turn indicators are inside of the headlights, I think (could be wrong) that they are required to be near the outer edge of the car.

Other than that its looking very good.

    • D-Link Support - A Warning

I've got a D-Link DNS-320 Sharecenter NAS drive at home and the power supply has gone kaput. Anoying but based on my experience with other peripheral manufacturers not a great problem, all I have to do is contact them and I'll get a new one.

      But....

D-Link UK have NO email address on their site, they only have a 10P/min ($0.16) phone number or a web portal that only works in IE (FU Mac users) and even in IE it insists I have a popup blocker running (which I don't)

The NAS drive is good but purely based on D-Link's support options I recommend avoiding D-Link products.

    • UK Brick Gauge

Using the idea from this thread here's a couple of brick gauges for UK sized bricks.

      UKBrickGauge.jpg
The idea would be to place the component(s) on elevations to ensure you get the window/door openings etc correct.
The metric one uses 225 x 75 pitching with 10mm mortar joints.
The imperial one uses 9" x 3" pitching with 3/8" mortar joints.

    • RE: [Resolved] Weird Behaviour

      That's really odd,
If you move the D all 3 move
If you copy the D only it copies
If you delete the D only it deletes
Cutting and Pasting in Place the D, L or A fixes it.
Fix Problems finds no errors and doesn't correct the 'bug'
Thomthom's cleanup plugin gets rid of some faces materials etc but problem persists.
Selecting the D and Exploding/Regrouping fixes the 'bug'

Just curious - why is one section of gutters and downspouts white, and the rest black?

This is England, a land where no one wants to stand out, where individuality is regarded as 'rather self indulgent'.
So having your gutters a different colour to your neighbours is actually a sign of rebellion that could only be measured against events like the Boston tea party.
I can guarantee the person who lives there not only drive a car that isn't beige ๐Ÿ˜ฎ but also doesn't wash it every Sunday ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

In the world of the English countryside their true rebels, with a taste for vegetarian food and wait for it....... staying up past TEN THIRTY on a week day!!!

I'm sure that the members of the local Women's Institution have already had a meeting and resoundingly voted the following:

To go silent whenever the person walks in the local shop and then to discuss what they purchased after they left.
To proceed all conversations regarding them with the words "Did you hear about them at no 53?, they only went and....." irrespective of the content of the remainder of the sentence the other party in the conversation must start their sentence with 'I heard they......'
To continuously compare them to the previous owners of the house who 'were wonderful'
To finish all conversations regarding them with the phrase 'I don't know what the world is coming too' or optionally 'it wasn't like that in my day'
