I'm still unable to produce anything with it as the fix for my graphic card is not released yet...or did I miss something ?? Two or Three weeks after buying it...

Fait également attention à la résolution de tes images que tu exportes depuis Illustrator, surtout si tu veux faire des rendus avec des vues rapprochées.

Une autre solution serait peut être de faire un export en dxf depuis ton plan illustrator afin de récupérer ton tracé vectoriel. Tu pourras ainsi l'importer à une échelle donnée et projeter tes surfaces sur ton relief. Tu gagneras en précision pour retracer tes bâtiments et en qualité d'affichage si c'est ce qui te préoccupes.

Pour résumer :

-fais un export dxf depuis ton illustrator des tracés uniquement horizontaux (enlèves tes arbres et autres éléments ponctuels que tu peux aisément trouver déjà modélisés dans la 3D Warehouse de Google): routes, contour des bâtiments, autres constructions linéaires...
-importe ton dxf dans ton fichier sketchup et recale le sur ton modèle de terrain (fais attention aux options dans la fenêtre d'importations pour rentrer la bonne unité de mesure)

• Utilise l'outil Projeter (Drape pour la version anglaise) pour projeter tes tracés sur ton relief.

A partir de là tu pourras aisément extruder / colorer / texturer tes surfaces au sol.

Au final c'est un peu plus de travail que de simplement importer une texture, mais pour des vues proches, tu auras un rendu plus net.

I really love Layout and the way it works with SU, and do not have a lot of wishes right now except to really improve general display speed !! After importing four images, and making a simple presentation with shapes and legends, I got the same feeling I had working on my old 386 sx 20 !! I have to wait one or two second after each click in order to get on element selected or unselected !!

I do not know if I'm the only one to encounter that problem, but please do something about that !

Even with small images, Layout turns slow after adding some shapes and images...I'm not even speaking about inserting SU models...

Just for info my config : HPZ600 BI Xeon 2,4 ghz, 8 GB RAM, Quadro FX 1800 768Mo.

Yes I'm on Win7 64 bits SP1. But All liveCubes are not working. I have an error message saying that my graphic card is not compatible even if my system fulfil the requirements.

Yes totally agree with you Ecuadorian 'Blind Purchase'. I purchased it and It's still not working with my graphic card (Quadro Fx 1800), even if e-on staff are very present to help me...I followed some advices found on some places (also here) and purchased it, and I hope it was not a mistake.

Normally I'm always waiting some feedback before buying a product, but I needed another tool for some of my works, so...I'll give feedback soon.

I bought LumenRT a few days ago as it seems to complete my suite software...but could not success to make livecubes work on my QuadroFx 1800...all drivers are uptodate...it's a bit frustrating...

Any clue or advice ?

Edit : Is someone familiar with Eon website and forums, because I can't success to see their forums. I succeed to register my lumenRT licence (got the confirmation page), but after that, when I go to "my account" i got no product registered !! and consequently i cannot access forums or technical support...

If someone could help me ?!!

Concernant les sommets des courbes, je n'ai rien à l'esprit pour le moment si ce n'est de jouer avec les styles pour accentuer les extrémités des segments...évidemment ça ne marche qu'avec les extrémités et ça ne révèle pas les sommets intermédiaires d'une courbe, sauf si tu l'exploses ce qui est toujours un moyen temporaire de repérer tes sommmets.

Concernant Pathcopy, je pense que tu peux jeter un oeil sur le plugin Component Stringer de Chris fullmer, il offre pas mal d'options pour placer des objets sur une courbe, quelle qu'elle soit. Si tu la combines avec le diviseur de polyligne (du plugin de Fredo), tu peux vraiment faire pas mal de choses. Et une fois tes composants placés le long du chemin, il te suffit d'éditer ton composant pour obtenir ta perpendiculaire au tracé.
