[edit] hope there are some low poly trees in there (if there is such a thing!!)

great stuff. So how do you get grey scale textures like that? forgive me if im being stupid! i like the building design too and the seams to the roof cladding. btw what a car, seriously epic car
Does anybody have a good brushed stainless steel texture (see photo)? I have been trying to find a good one for quite some time now but they are all quite distorted/low quality.
Really want to see how it looks with podium's new blurry reflections!
(Or am I best to bump a flat colour then add blurry reflection)
Cheers
amazing plugin, works really smooth too. gonna have some fun with this!
seriously you guys are awesome, i really didnt expect all this help!
oh my god you guys are awesome. i cant tell you how happy I am about this! Pete I really did not think of making it that way, its so easy with radial bend, it never occured to me! looks great. I'll post the renders of the bar scene when it's finished, theres gonna be like 150 of these chairs lol
thanks alot guys
hi, very nice link thank you.
the site only has the modern ant chair though which is different. I may just have to adapt a series 7 chair.
still, if anyone comes across a model like the one in the photo then please let me know.
cheers
Hi people,
Does anybody know where I can find a model of the Ant chair (the version as shown in photo)? Preferably free haha. Ive searched the 3d warehouse but I can only find the series 7 chair.
See photo below:
Cheers
please could you post the model when it's finished......I want to render it completely chrome haha just to see what it looks like
Hi guys,
I recently made a perforated cedar cladding texture (seamless). It is intended for acoustic absorption for internal applications.
It may need scaling back to the proper size. The 'holes' should be 6mm diameter with 16mm spacing. It's not the best quality because I made it in SU by combining textures, so not great for close ups.
Thought someone may find a use for it.....
nice ruby. good video too, I didn't realise you could combine textures in SU
yes it is weird, especially the outdoor 'al fresco' kitchen haha.....but you gotta give him some credit....its the first thing he's ever designed!
the model was an absolute nightmare to work with: no layers, no groups, no components, no textures, no trees, no windows, no lights......just pure messy geometry (takes me back to when I first learnt SU!!)
Thanks, I learnt alot from Sepo's PP! The raw renders were actually quite cold
It certainly is, I wasnt being bitchy btw I just didn't understand what was going on!!
nice work though, whatever it means!!
hi guys,
We've had a 'work experience' student at our office the past couple weeks. He designed his own house/landscaping and I showed him how to model and render (patiently!) Also did some PP to spice them up a bit (although a bit too much PS liquify etc. in places!). So here are the images.......I know they aren't perfect and theres lots of missing detail but I think they came out quite nice.
[edit] oh yeah, rendered in podium by the way
