Not all extensions show in the Plugins menu, or Extension menu as it is called in later versions. Watch the video here: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24390 Notice it shows up in the Context menu when you right click on a selection of components. You don't want to have components open for editing. You need it to work on the components not their contents.

Don't forget that for most of Fredo's Extensions you need to have also installed his LibFredo...

What template did you choose? You can change the units in the Dimensions inspector. Select the dimension tool and go to the inspector. Change the length to whatever units you like. For most of the projects I do I need to work in Fractional Inches and I always have precision set to 1/64". If you've already placed some dimensions, either place a new one with the correct units or select one and change it. Then get the eye dropper and sample that dimension. Then click on the other dimensions to change them. Or, select all of the dimensions (easier if you put the dimensions all on their own layer) and change them wholesale by changing the settings in the inspector. It doesn't matter if you select other things because only dimensions will be modified when you change the settings in the Dimension Inspector.

@dave r said: Nathan, you might experiment with the OpenGL settings under Preferences. It might be that you'll find ticking or unticking the boxes another combination will give you better performance. Start by turning off Use Hardware Acceleration. Dave, I just finished trying what you had suggested, yet nothing has served to alter the condition. I tried everything - within that 'OpenGL' settings area - but no change. Being that the program HAD run as smooth as it possibly could, and is problematic in that area now - especially after my not having changed any settings by which to cause it - I am left with the assumption that the causative factor has to lie within my computer, itself. But I thank you, as always, for your input. Nathan

Well, you can at least use the free version to become at least somewhat proficient before you decide. I find that for most drawing tasks I don't need more than I could get with the free version. I use the pro version mostly for LayOut and the occasional CAD import or export.
