Just been taking another look at this great looking tool, but I am having problems colouring edges. It goes though the motions but when I exit the tool(double click), the edges revert back to black. Works fine on everything else, faces, text etc. Am I missing something? Great piece of work though, thank you.

    • RE: Plugin Store autoinstall issue

I did several searches but obviously not in the right place. I didn't realise there was a forum for the Plugin Store. Thanks again

    • RE: Plugin Store autoinstall issue

Well that sorted it, Thanks Rich. Another hole in my PC knowledge, I thought that as my account is as an Administator any software would run as such. Obviously not so. I have now set it to always run as Admin thanks to the Windows 7 feature that allows you to do so.

    • Plugin Store autoinstall issue

      Hi all,

I am having trouble getting ANY plugin to autoinstall with the Plugin Store, which is the latest version just updated. When I click autoninstall I get the pop up box about allowing changes, then user account control then nothing happens. I have Adminstrator rights and am running Windows 7 with SU8 Pro.
      Any ideas?

      Thanks

      Nick

Yes and the original wood textures are great. How do you go about getting even lighting when you take the photos?

I think the floating effect is because the carpet is a flat surface with false 3d relief, your brain wants to tell you it isn't flat but the feet are siting on a flat surface

    • Cleanup registry?

I can't find an old post about cleaning up registry entries left behind by plugins that had been removed. I think ThomThom posted a little script that cleaned it up. Ring any bells?

      Thanks

Have you checked that you still have 'Open GL acceleration' checked under 'preferences'?

That is good for a first attempt. That type of modelling isn't easy. Well done

Thanks for pointing that out. I play with Blender every now and then but had completely overlooked checking out this feature. I see that Blender Guru is trying to get the Blender interface improved which would be great.

    • RE: Locked folder not visible

Managed to retrieve it thanks, although I don't have a 'virtual store' as such, but I looked in AppData and searched the folders there.
Still strange though, as to why it had been placed there. I have created other component folders since and they all appear. My understanding is that Windows uses virtualisation when the software creating the file is deemed to be not up to par?

    • RE: Locked folder not visible

Thanks TIG, but none of those will work because I can't even locate the folder. I think it is to do with regitstry virtualisation and Windows has redirected the file elsewhere (e.g. AppData or Roaming)
      Still digging.

    • RE: Locked folder not visible

I have tried finding the attribute of the folder as you outlined but it reports 'file not found'. I had a similar issue with Twilight Render, where it used a second path to load materials, but I cannot find any trace of one in SU preferences. I'm stumped. BTW I have Admin rights

If you want to post the model I will have a go at exporting it and see what happens.

OK,I will try that when I get back to the office. Is it possible to do this via windows explorer or is using the command line more certain? I did wonder if SU locates components in other places, but I have searched for the folder and can't find it anywhere else. Of course that might be because it's hidden.
