Thank you very much.
I'm asking now for some help, especially in JS programming. If someone wants to help me with this, please contact me. As the current problem will be solved, I will be able to release first version of the plugin. I think this can be a matter of days if I will get some help from a high skilled programmer.
Please send PM if interested.
Thank you.
Hy! A few months ago I found on the internet a rendering software which has the ability to render 360 degrees panoramas. Unfortunately I don't remember anything about it. I have to do some 3d panoramic interior renderings and that kind of software would give me a great help.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Nice tree generator, indeed! But I noticed that it saves as .wrl. How can I convert that in something that sketchup reads? Maybe obj?
Thank you.

Just wanted to say that this plugin will be genius. Not to pressure you too much, but what sort of schedule do you have for release? Before January or later?
In the first place I planned to finish it in December, but as I got stuck with something, I think February will be.
The plugins are for both free and pro. They don't come with Sketchup standard installation, but you must find them (here http://www.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/Ruby/RUBY_Library_Depot.htm or here ww.smustard.com, or here http://www.sketchucation.com/extensions-index/ ... and are several places more... ) The installation is simple: you put them in Plugins folder.
Have fun! And learn (on youtube you will find a interesting collection of sketchup tutorials http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=SketchUpVideo#g/u)
Welcome, Steven!
This is a commercial which goes on tv these days, hope you will enjoy it.
(Sorry for off-topic. Just wanted to say hy.)

Yes, on a core2duo @ 3,16GHz it's embarrassingly slow. And I got that "Ooops...blah-blah" message so often -and for any page!! My internet speed is pretty good and stable (I watch TV online with no problems). And closing it...well, it competes with IE I click now on the X and I can go on kitchen for a cup of water and come back until it closes.
When you think I started to like it and decided to give it a chance... it was all so promising.
Maybe Google becomes the next Microsoft (prepares us with promises for next fancy bloating software?) ?
I am curious if I'm the only one disappointed by Google Chrome, or this is a general problem?
I used this to make a bottle a few months ago. Maybe somebody can use the blueprint.
Uff, "soon" didn't meant after 2-3 weeks. Sorry for that. I'm still working on it. Unfortunately I have little time to work on it. But it will! Live your life in that time.
Since now I re-made id from scratch for three times. And the hard part is that I'm learning programming in this time, because I don't have any experience.
So, sorry again. This thread was intended to collect some ideas that will help to guide this plugin in right direction.
Something... different -and used notareal's disco ball (don't take it personally, solo! )
-And with pinkpanther1234's Cutting-Pasting style

I made MySQL working with SketchUp Ruby and was really easy to do it. But I didn't liked it because of the server. MySQL is too powerfull for some stand-alone small application. I tried same thing SQLite3, but I was unable to make it work under SketchUp Ruby.
In the end I found what I shown you. The concept is a little different from common databases, but is ruby
This one is slightly different from commonly used databases. It doesn't deals with tables, but with CLASSES. And as my knowledge about databases is at its beginnings, I have difficulties to understand how it works.
It looks like nobody have nothing to say neither heard about it. And I'm trying to understand it.
Please excuse my (foolish?) question, but: why not use plugins???
Because are not officially recognized by google? Or because they add more facilities than standard SketchUp? I have an other question then:
Why people use AutoCAD 2010 ?? AutoCAD 2000 isn't good enough? Ok, let's put it this way: After (IF) Google will decide to add some of what plugins offers to us now, in their standard Sketchup package, what will do those who choose to not use plugins? Will stop using SketchUp ? Because is not "pure" ?
I'm really confused now... I feel sorry for those who use SketchUp, but are not aware about SketchUcation, or don't know about those great plugins. But I don't know what to say about the others who prefer the hard way for some (unclear religious ) reason.

I should have put an age cross-factor in the poll, to see if it is only us old guys who use large icons.
C'mon! I'm not old !!! Judging after your picture, I could be your son !
I use LARGE icons and I use Custom Toolbars Plugin http://sketchuptips.blogspot.com/2008/06/custom-toolbars-release-08-06-01.html to have just icons that I use. For other commands I use Keyboard Shortcuts.
