Yes it does help! It looks more efficient. On the other does it use a lot of cpu/ram? I truly don't want to offer serious parts of my pc to some fancy OS, just because it looks nice and opens file quickly Since Win7 was launched I heard just good things about, but some things reveal in time...

inside and outside of the building? I hope that doors and windows are not so good sealed... Because who's sleeping there, might wake up with a terrible headache because of oxygen lack.

RE: Windows 7
How does it manage resources? Compare it with XP, please. Because I never used Vista (thanks God for that).

the power lines were modeled/modified....They were, if I remember correctly, imported from the warehouse or formfonts and I added to them and modified them for what I needed.
It's a power line for electric train (i guess)

RE: Bumpmap for Glass
If it's double glazing, then between the two foils of glass is low pressure gas (Argon), or vacuum. That is why the glass surface is not planar but slightly concave. I suggest to try with this bump... I don't know how accurate is, but you can give a try. Don't tile it! Fit the image on each window.
It's a 16 bit grayscale PNG. I hope it won't make strips.

Well, I guess that folks around here are pissed off for other reason... see here: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=22730&p=191935&hilit=+pipe#p192917
I think people on this forum are very generous. On most forums are lots of freaks who would make jokes on some, rather than helping. I got a lot of help from people on this forum and at leas deserve a little respect if (a 16 years old kid?) can not offer more.

RE: Notepad++ Collaboration
I tried to make it working, but I ended thinking that I'm the most stupid person... My Windows Firewall is off, I use COMODO, and until now, COMODO detected and raised a pop-up on every event. So, I doubt I have to set up something in firewall.
On host I let 'localhost', right? just who wants to connect to me must input my IP? ... Is there some port, other than 20081 ? -

How to add entities inside a group?
Well, title says all... I can't figure out how to add entities (component instances) inside a group that I already have created. It contains some entities, but I want to be able to add more things inside it, using a ruby script.
And one more thing that bothers me: when I initially made the group I did it like this:... group = model.active_entities.add_group entities_array group.name = name
But, the problem is that I gave a name just to the group entity and since
group.definition.name
is not a valid method, I'm stuck. Why I need to give same name to the definition as the entity? Because when/if I use right-click -> Make Component, the new created component instance will take definition's name.Thank you.

RE: Problem with Group name in SU 7.1
Hmm, groups are very tricky in SU, as I can see... I made a group in SketchUp and used this in console:
defs = model.definitions defs[0].name
it reported me "
Group#1
". Then I renamed the group and got same result. I tried to rename the definitiondefs[0].name = 'test'
; now, the definition name was changed, but group instance not.
I made another test with a component. In this case, renaming the definition, renamed the instance and when I asked the name, I got the right answer.In the end I played with the group entity
ents = model.entities ents[0].name #reported me the correct name of the group ents[0].name = 'test_group' #changed properly the group entity name
I really don't understant what is that definition for group entity if it doesn't influence the entity itself. Ok, I know... groups are unique, more or less... more copies of same group are treated as instances until one is opened or edited inside. Just... weird
---EDIT---
- If I have a group with given name and I use right-click -> Make Component, the component definition will have group's definition name, not the name I gived to that group entity.

Works fine for me in v7.1 either Rename off Outliner's context-menu or rename in Entity Info both OK.
Did you checked the name with ruby?

You don't have IE4 in SU. You have whatever is installed on the system.
That's one of the reason I would prefer is SU used a standalone web-frame that isn't linked to the system.Please run this.
@my_dialog = UI;;WebDialog.new('Check Version', false,"",400, 100, 300, 300, true) html = '<html> <body> <script type="text/javascript"> var browser=navigator.appName; var b_version=navigator.appVersion; var version=parseFloat(b_version); document.write("Browser name; "+ browser); document.write("<br />"); document.write("Browser version; "+ version); </script> </body> </html>' @my_dialog.set_html(html) @my_dialog.show{} @my_dialog.bring_to_front
