i was wondering if we could add a new category for the sketchup pluginstore or basically work out a system for classifying plugins that work with sketchup 2014 so that those who use sketchup 2014 don't get plugins mixed up and they would know which plugins they could download that will work with the sketchup 2014. probably an icon that says skp2014 update available or something like that from the list. i don't know. but thanks a lot!

yeah i know, its just that when i had the idea of linking layers here i remembered you said this plugin is similar to photoshop's layers panel. i just thought it would be cool to relate it to photoshop however remotely they are similar.
those who share their work for free at least have to be recognized for their great work and contributions.
i have a few more ideas for your plugin. please don't think i'm being demanding, you see i just found your plugin really helpful. anyway, these are my ideas. i don't know if they are really doable as far as rubyscript and your time/effort goes.
linked layers. (since you gave the idea of being photoshop-like) 2 or more layers can be linked and even if just one of them is selected and the hid/show is toggled (by clicking a button or the hot key)simultaneously they are shown/hid. multiple linking may be done. with this, you do not only have the capability to group folders and hide/show them by hiding or showing the eye icon (or the possible hotkey) you can also get the hide/show to work with ungrouped/unfoldered layers!
single-clicking/hover changes on a layer. this gives the function of hovering over a layer name to not change the mouse pointer to a pointer for typing. also when you click the layer name, what happens is you get to select the layer and you do not have to aim precisely at a point in the layer strip to have the layer selected. however, a double-click on the layer strip still renames the layer:)
font size change. i noticed the original layers panel can hold a longer list of layers as it has a smaller font size. is it possible to get your layers panel closer to that too so it would be easier to view the list without scrolling for those who tend to make 50+ layers?
anyway, i enjoy plugin and it helps so much, when i start earning after i graduate, i promise i'll donate for this plugin's awesomeness! thanks again, you are very helpful, jiminy!

hey guys. this is kinda embarrassing but i just found out that you and others have been replying to my posts from day 1 here in sketchucation. (is it that we do not have a notification alert here or is it just my utter lack of awareness that we have one?). thank you everyone. i found out that it was a problem on my long list of fonts. photoshop was even having a long lag time along with msword. this is quite late but thanks a lot! your response is very much appreciated.

the next time i installed sketchup and the plugin its not showing the options button again! i cannot hide rendering tools now. T_T
-i am a relatively adept pc user but just lacks the skill for computer scripting and basic programming.
can you also make an evident distinction between a folder and a layer? perhaps bold the letters of the folder name or highlight the folder with a different color or something. it gets confusing when i have all folders un-collapsed.

i suggest these 2 things:
-make the notification become just a text that goes above the sketchup workspace at the lower-left corner (or probably make it have options for the location). the text doesn't not have to have its own window and just a floating text like how the "two point perspective" label appears on the screen when you go to 2-pt-persp view. this is a very useful plugin and it will help a lot if it appears as if it is a native option in sketchup.
-the notification auto-closes/disappears when you leave a component. and make it so that you do not have to close it yourself, and that you do not have to leave the whole 10-level grouping that your edited component is in just to make the notification disappear automatically.

hey. i just want to ask on something i have really been pondering on.
when i use sketchup, after sometime, it asks me whether to fix my models. is it really safe to let sketchup fix my model or does it do a hocus-pocus thing that i do not see that can somehow ruin my model?
my thinking is, if it is really safe to let sketchup fix my model, why does it even have to ask me?
i am not yet versed in scripting so i do not get what sketchup tells me when i click on the "details" after i fix my model.

i just got myself an i5 laptop which i installed my sketchup7 into. as i clicked onto the 3dtext tool button, sketchup started to hang up. i tried reinstalling it and even tried installing the sketchup 8 one but it still had the same problems/errors. i'm running on windows 7 ultimate 64bit OS. please help, thanks! 
Hey there! i extracted both the FredoScale.0h and LibFredo6 3.4b rar files to the plugins folder of sketchup but i cant seem to figure out how to make it work. i tried reinstalling sketchup, and even tried both version 7.0 and version 7.1 but it still doens't work. i even removed all the other plugins then re-extract the files but still it wont work. i really need help here man.
